Product Description

The Rody horse is a funny and valuable support tool used for body movement. It helps developing balance, movement skills and coordination. It helps improving and harmonizing your child trunk, legs and arms muscles. It has been adopted in many nursery schools as psycho-motor tool. It is used by therapists to enhance language, memory and perception skills. However it is mainly an involving and relaxing toy, a pleasant and calming entertainment, which stimulates group activities and relations. Since its first appearance on the market in 1984, Rody has been greatly appreciated by children because of its rounded design, its resiliency and softness. Rody surely belongs to the "evergreen" toy category. Thanks to the removable bases (not included) you can turn Rody into a rocking or wheeled horse!

    I got this toy to take on a winter vacation. With 2 kids (4 & 17 months) who love to bounce (usually on me) I needed something I could put in my luggage, was quiet, and got pent up energy out. When I arrive at our destination Rody was easy to inflate and within minutes the kids were able to bounce away. We were also able to adjust the size of Rody to fit our youngest size by letting air in or out. It was also quiet, aside from tons of laughter, and didn't bother the people in the hotel around us. When our vacation was over, we just unplugged and repacked in seconds. If you have kids that love to bounce, and you are tired of being bounced on, this is the PERFECT toy for you.

    We have both the original Rody and Rody Max. Both are great products. The Rody Max was too big for our 2 yr old, so we got the Rody as well. Since the Rody Max is big enough to hold an adult, our child likes riding around the house with us - she chases one of us on the Rody Max while riding solo on her Rody (or we chase her). Admittedly very cute and lots of fun, even for adults. Our child can also ride with us (tandem) on the Rody Max. She really enjoys having her own Rody to ride by herself though and plays with it often. Great for days when we can't get outside - a huge energy burner. It has also increased her coordination, and it has been cool to watch her get better at controlling the Rody as she rides/bounces around the house. You'll definitely need some open space in your home to use this toy.

    I purchased Rody for my 17 month little boy. He is starting to get the hang of hopping without falling over...if he were any younger I would buy the rocker to hold it in place. His 2 year old cousins hop all day on it and ask where the horse is when we take it back home (they are all getting one for christmas). My 4 year old nephew looves it, but he is getting to be a little to large for it (but it still holds up well-it's just that his knees look uncomfortable we are going to get him and his older brother Rody Max for christmas. The horse was a great outlet for my nephew that has adhd and autism. He can't sit still at all and this horse was perfect for him! Unless I spring for amazon prime again I will order directly from a seller rather than having it fulfilled by Amazon. They didn't even process it for shipping for a week and a half! That was without having amazon prime. In the past, (while I had Prime) I would have my item in hand within about 2 days from order. I understand that you get an item if you pay for expedited shipping...but to have different tiers of customer service/shipping? Wierd!

    This is such a wonderful tool to have!!!! Kids love Rody as he is fun for them but beneficial as well. I bought this for my son for physical therapy, but I feel that even if he did not need it I would buy it for him as a toy. Rody is really durable, almost like an expensive exercise ball. Before Rody, I tried some of the cheaper alternatives, and though im all for saving a buck, they just did not feel sturdy enough. I would highly recommend this for anyone ages 0-7. A pump is not included and you cannot blow it up otherwise. I found that using my football pump did just fine.

    I admit, I love this toy more than my children. They do play with it often, and always laugh and have fun when they do ... I just wish they played with it for hours on end every day. We live in the most northern part of the US -- so it's cold and they need to burn energy indoors 5 months of the year. If you have lots of space in your home or need your kids to stay active during the cold months, I highly recommend a Rody (or two).

    It's also more than just a ride on jumpy toy, it has been a patient in my daughter vet and my son uses it when he dresses up as a Knight.
