I had a trip to Japan and was putting off buying neck pillows for my son and myself. I finally bought this one 2 days before my trip and let me tell you…. I slept so secure knowing my mouth wasn’t going to open and snore. My neck was fully supported and the back of the pill was flattened so there was no pushing my head forward.My sons is 18 and he said he didn’t really like it cause it was to snug around his neck. I found that it gave support like a neck brace and it was snug but you could loosen it slight to allow less structure.10/10 would buy again. No paid after a 10 hour flight. Get it!!

This helped me sleep on multiple flights and train rides through Sweden and Norway. It's super soft yet firm enough to keep your head held upright while giving you a comfy place to nestle in and drift off. It also rolls up quite compactly and easily on the fly, and the carrying case with the clip is perfect to attach to your luggage. I do agree with other petite reviewers that having a shorter neck makes it less comfortable to wear earbuds while using the pillow; I'd probably avoid dangling or large earrings for this same reason. I also avoided strapping the pillow to the headrest because I think I'm just too short at 5' 2" for that to be comfortable. (My Dad, who is 5' 11", also enjoyed using his pillow on the trip and had no problems at all with these "short person-specific problems"!) All in all, this pillow is light years more comfortable than any I've ever used and I recommend it highly.

I ordered Vishnya, trtl Pillow, and Cabeau Evolution S3. I tried them sleeping in an upright stuffed chair in my living room to see which one I liked best. Vishnya won. Here's why: I'm 6 feet tall and 200 lbs, and mostly sleep on my side in bed, and was looking for something that would work well on a long international flight.
-- Cabeau: least favorite for me. The sides felt very soft and would compress quite far, and my neck angle was greatest of the three (too squishy). It also didn't really do much to prevent head going forward. I wonder, though, if I was on an airplane seat that reclined if that wouldn't be an issue. I also tried wrapping a scarf around my neck then placed the pillow on top, which set it higher up my neck. That was definitely much nicer, but didn't want to have to rely on that for comfort, and still worried about head going forward. I also was not able to strap it to a headrest, which would be important to try for a full review. The front of my neck (by my wind pipe) was very comfortable (best of the three).
-- trtl: second favorite. It was surprisingly comfortable. Its also the smallest, and easiest to stuff into the top of my bag. The plastic frame was a great shape, and stiff enough to support my big head. The scarf that wraps around your neck was comfortable, and provided enough tension to keep the frame firmly in place. I thought I could just swivel it around to the other side when I wanted to sleep on the other side, but it wasn't quite as comfortable, and found myself preferring to open the velcro, flipping it over, and reattaching it. Not ideal in the middle of the night. The biggest concern was if I flopped off the frame. Like if my head rolled forward, or over to the other side. There was nothing there, and would probably wake up. You can position the frame so it supports from the side, and also a little from the front to minimize tendency to roll forward. There was a little pressure on the front of my throat, but still quite comfortable. I'm actually thinking of keeping this one, too for shorter domestic flights.
-- Vishnya: winner. I prefer laying towards the side with the highest flair. The foam was soft and comfortable, yet plenty firm to keep my neck straight. The fabric felt nice as well. Felt like a nice secure hug all around my neck. In order to switch sides, its easy to just swivel it around. If my head flops off of the high side, there was still plenty of padding on the front and other side to prevent bad neck angles. Biggest drawback is that the padding could press on the front of my throat, and found myself trying to fidget with it to make it more comfortable in that area. I also think the compression sack to transport it, ear plug, and eye cover are a nice touch.

Also, there is too much pillow around the back neck so it pushed my head forward. I am a 5'2" woman so I think this was made for a taller person or person with a longer neck. I can't use it comfortably.

Having recently traveled through Africa, I had nearly 50 hours of flying in a span of 3 weeks! Knowing this was coming up, I decided to upgrade my airplane pillow and settled on the Cabeau. Thankfully, I was not disappointed!

I'll keep this very simple; see below for the Pros, Cons & Conclusion:

Pros:
- Comfortable (probably the best I've used)
- Doesn't budge
- Didn't smell
- Packs nicely
- Allows you to "lean" into it; if you're a side sleeper like myself, this helps.

Cons:
- There is really only 1 con, and that's how it works with headphones. Unfortunately, there's no way to cut it; this doesn't work well with headphones. Tiny earbuds, yes, but headphones rub along the side and push the headphones up. I had to switch to earbuds numerous times because the headphones wouldn't fit properly/

Conclusion:
This is the best airplane pillow I have had the pleasure of using. If you have upcoming travel & want to upgrade your in-flight comfort, look no further. However, if you are someone who relies on bulky headphones during you're flight, you may want to consider another option.

A few weeks ago I travelled from Canada Japan and back. In total, one-way, I was 17 hours on 2 planes.

I cannot sleep on a plane unless I am flying business and I was in economy this flight. I have never used a neck pillow before. I decided to order this literally the day before I left and it came on time. On my 13 hour segment I but it on and instantly felt more relaxed. I even nodded off a few times. No head bobs or anything like that. I did not tie it to the back of my headrest even though it is a feature of the pillow.

I would highly recommend this ESPECIALLY if you have a longer neck like I do.

It is described and portrayed accurately in the pictures. The picture I posted is it in the carry bag that comes with it. It rolls up easily to fit into the bag. Oh- and the fabric is nice and soft!

As uncomfortable as it is to sleep on a plane, this pillow made it better than any other I have used in the past. Very comfortable, maintained my head upright preventing it to fall awkwardly. I especially like that it can be strapped to the seat.
Easy to put in the bag it comes with.
