So in my endeavour to reduce even more processed food purchases (cost, quality, added chemicals in processed foods are the reason its just better I make my own) I wanted to purchase a stand mixer. I needed something strong and reliable. Now there is a certain brand thats often recommended as a leader in the home stand mixer market, but my issues were the capacity for the equivalent mixer in that other brand was too low and I would have to spend far too much to bump up to what I would find acceptable. The Cuisinart stand mixer is the perfect balance of affordability, performance and capacity. I bake twice a week. Regularly using 1.5x the recipe to make the amount of bread I'll be making and it handles it like a champ. Ice creams, cookies and other things also handled perfectly. The only issue you need to be aware of is if the dough hook or whisk seem a bit high, you can adjust them by turning the screw you see when you lift the mixer head. Now my other biggest fear was what happens when you do go too far. I haven't yet, but Cuisinart tells you all the safeguarding it has to just shut the mixer down before it damages itself which is a great feature for piece of mind. I cannot recommend it enough for anyone interested. The attachments are also pretty good.

I had an old stand mixer from the 40's when Hobart was becomming Kitchen-Aid. I replaced the grease in the head of it at one point, and, from that point on, it had no "low speed" option, and would intermittently howl while being used. I reluctantly decided it was time to replace, and did so with this. I am happy with it in its own right, and I am happy with it as a replacement for my old workhorse.
While I was at it, I got the ice cream maker, meat grinder, and "spiralizer" attachments, after confirming that Kitchen-Aid attachments were compatible with Cuisinart. I've enjoyed the ice cream maker, I love the splash guard, and I am looking forward to making sausage and zoodles in the near future.
Powerful, quiet, easy to use, no complaints at all.

Previously I had only a hand mixer and that was definitely something that I will happily never have to do again!! I'm so glad I didn't spend that money just for the top brand name.

My Kitchenaid Pro 600 mixer finally broke down, after countless batches of cookies and cinnamon rolls. Needing a replacement, I decided to go with the Cuisinart, even though it has a slightly smaller capacity. I am planning to get an 8 quart mixer in the near future, but figured this was a good stop gap. I was a bit concerned on how it would handle double batches of my cookie dough recipes. It actually did pretty good, with some possible concerns.
The Good: It handled the dough fine, with some minor slowing at the lower end of the speed range. The paddle blade did a nice job of mixing all the ingredients. The blade has a better finish than the Kitchenaid, so it was much easier to clean off after mixing. The tilt head made it easier to use a spoon to check that all ingredients were mixed.
The mixer is shorter than my Kitchenaid, so it does tuck away under my cupboards much nicer.

The bad: The guard to keep the dry ingredients from flying out, is more decorative than functional. The slot is so narrow, that as much flour ends up on top of the guard, as it does in the bowl. You will need to pour very slow.
The controls are at the back on the right side. It may seem to be convenient, but if you need to add ingredients while adjusting speed, you are out of luck. That is a big plus on the Kitchenaid, plus the lever as opposed to the dial on this machine is more convenient.
The machine handled the dough fine, but the motor seemed pretty warm by the end. I have doubts this will last the 10 plus years of my Kitchenaid.

Final thoughts: A very good value for the money. I bake in fairly large quantities, so I am pushing the limits of this mixer. If you do mainly single batches with an occasional double batch, this is a very nice mixer.

Good quality (so far). Bummer that you pay a premium for colors, but that's the way it is. Mixer works great. I'll never need any of the special attachments so this version is fine. Has plenty of power. Haven't tried the splash shield yet, but haven't needed it either.

This stand mixer is comparable to Kitchen Aid, which I've had before and it does the job! Better all round value for the money and I think does a better job on mixing bread dough, has a powerful motor and several speeds to choose from and metal gearing good horsepower lol. It even comes with a bowl cover to keep the flour in the bowl. I am very pleased with my purchase!

I was comparing this mixer a another popular brand and decided on this one because it has a more powerful motor (500 vs 300); as well as a better price and reviews. It came with everything I need and I like the splash guard, but wish it was clear for better viewing inside the bowl. I've used it once for a pound cake recipe I like the way it mixes the ingredients. Needless to say the cake turned out perfectly. I would recommend this stand mixer because so far I've been very pleased with my purchase.

I was initially in the market for a Kitchen Aid stand mixer, but after waiting weeks for a model I had ordered, I was unceremoniously informed by Amazon, that Kitchen Aid could not deliver. I was initially deeply disappointed.

Then, not one to dwell on past mistakes, I opted instead to order a Cuisinart Stand Mixer and what a happy decision that turned out to be. The Cuisinart arrived quickly, in mint condition. It is solidly built and nicely designed and looks great on my counter top. It is very simple to use and clean and very powerful. I have used it a few times to mix bread dough, which is the primary reason I ordered it, and it does this masterfully with power to spare. I have only owned this item for a month or so, so I cannot speak to its long term durability, but so far, so good. I am very happy with my Cuisinart Stand Mixer.
