Proudly Made In the USA

USW EXTREME All-Weather Extension Cords are proudly made in the USA.

Make sure you Choose the Right Cord for your task based on the chart below!

Tips for choosing the right cord:

  • Choose the right length: EXTREME cords come in various sizes and gauges so choose the right length for your project
  • Amps/Watts: Always choose a cord that is rated greater than or equal to the amps and watts of your tool. Choosing an extension cord that is lower can cause the cord to overheat or your tool to burn out the motor. You can normally find the wattage of your device printed on a label or in the owners manual.
  • Gauge: the lower the gauge number is (16 is the smallest and 10 is the biggest), the greater the amperage and wattage. Voltage drops over a long distance so to offset this choose a bigger gauge cord.

Great cold-weather extension cord
I chose this cord based on Project Farm’s extension cord comparison on YouTube. He found that it was particularly good at staying flexible in cold weather and boy is it ever. Living in New Hampshire it’s become my go-to cord in the winter months, even when I don’t actually need its 12 AWG wire. Super durable, made in the USA and well worth the price.

I needed a high quality, heavy duty cord to charge my electric car. I found this in the NY TIMES Wirecutter reviews, their top rated extension cord. Yes, it cost me $75, but I learned a long time ago that it's well worth paying for real quality in the long run.
The review said this is the most flexible in cold weather and made of the best materials.
It sure feels like it!
I like that, once connected, it has small orange LED that lights up on the female end. This helps see it in the dark.
I would buy this again!
My neighbor is an electrician. He saw it and told me he owns several of them!

I wanted a high-capacity, long extension cord for both outdoor tools or occasional indoor use with something that draws more power, like a space heater. This one was a little pricy, and it's a bit heavy, naturally enough, but it's very flexible and feels safe to use pretty much everywhere.

I bought this to use with my Snow Joe electric snow blower. Because it is used in the frigid weather, I wanted to be sure that the extension cord would not fight me. Fighting the snow is struggle enough.

It really does the job. I like the secure ends of the cord and I have no feeling that they will pull apart or fray. It is nice and flexible and securely plugs into my snow blower.

I have it plugged into a outside GFR receptacle and I feel very safe using it. I decided to buy two 50 Ft cables instead of one 100 ft so I have more flexibility in using it. When I do not need that long an extension, I can just use one and it makes it easier to use and wind up. I will use it even in the summer for outdoor jobs.

I have one of these cords in 50' and 100' lengths. The 50' cord lives on my welding trailer, and the 100' cord lives in my shop. The lighted ends hold the plugs very securely. I only buy 12/3 or heavier extension cords. If you buy anything lighter, the voltage drop in a 100' cord can hinder tool performance and even cause damage to the tool motor. Romex 12 ga. is the size wire used in household 20-Amp circuits, so you don't get any higher voltage drop in these cords than you do with the wiring in your house. You can burn up a $200+ tool by skimping on a lighter gage extension cord.

These cords are great. They really shine in colder weather when most other extension cords get very hard and stiff. The SJEOW insulation of these cords is what makes the difference. In Louisiana our winters rarely get below 20-F. In those temperatures these cords do stiffen up some but are still much more manageable than other cords I own. Buy once, cry once.

I think i grew up believing that all extension cords were the same. And, heck, maybe they were back then. That means I tended to buy extension cords that didn't ever really lay flat. They always felt like they kinked up, and never really rolled up into a neat roll. So I read the reviews on this one and gave it a shot. Seriously, best extension cord I've ever owned. It feels completely different from the usual orange cords I've owned. It is very flexible. Very heavy duty. It lays flat on the ground. And it rolls up exactly like I always wanted an extension cord to roll. It's weird writing a review of something as mundane as an extension cord, but this one is worth it. It is different. Highly recommended.

Best cord I’ve ever bought. No more stuff cords in the winter. I use this on my diesel truck so it sits outside all winter. Got one for home and one for work. The cord is beyond flexible; I should be the instructor at the yoga class. It’s a good gauge size so it’s got more juice than the lunk head that can’t get into that “one gym”. The lit end won’t light your way Frodo but it will tell you if the power is on. It’s made in Jersey but it isn’t slicked down with hair gel and doin pump moves on your girlfriend. I mean what more can you ask for in a cord? If it got any better it would steal your girlfriend.
