LOVE IT! BUY IT, AND THANK ME LATER. There are the two mats in the package (rectangular, and a paw-print, mats) -- a great idea. Depending on your box-set up and cat's behavior, that extra paw-print shaped mat added beyond the regular sized mat is a cute "add-some-length" piece...thus less likelihood that you'll need to (1) buy a larger mat and then cut the mat short, (2) buy a lesser quality/value product, which I did "just in case" to compare the two brands (this and another). You could also use the paw print mat for a second box. The light color is exactly as pictured, and looks great (actually nearly invisible on my beige/light tile floor). The box is in my very small bathroom between toilet and wall (tight), but the mat(s) fit great. Litter is caught better than any other mat I've used (it helps that I also use an excellent litter) -- thus far less tracking. Finally, vacuums easily with the hand-vac -- the litter is just dark enough to see it is in the carpet but light enough to be naked to the non-cat-owner's eye. Great, great deal. Don't let a different $10 single mat sway you from this purchase for only, literally, a few dollars more. Highest ratings!

This does what it should, and does it well. Look, none of these litter mats are going to get every piece of litter. That's just not possible. This has helped tremendously and I did look at several products before buying. I have my own bathroom in the house and had just gotten "used to" having occasional litter on my feet, which means occasional litter around the rest of the house, which is actually pretty nasty. A neighbor turned me on to the idea of a litter mat (duh!), so let me save you some time:
1. Don't get anything cloth because it can trap scents and the litter can smear into it.
2. If you don't have anything down under your litter, you were like me a week ago, and you can't go wrong with this product. The difference in my bathroom is night & day. So don't spend an hour comparing these things, just get this one and move on with life.
3. This one comes with one for the food bowls too. We needed that too and that has also helped quite a bit.
4. I positioned the litter mat like an "L" design, with litter box in the corner and path of least resistance directly onto mat. Have yet to watch cat climb out, but so far, so great.

If you have a friend/family who has a sketchy bathroom and they have just gotten used to it and it's disgusting, this would make an excellent, thoughtful gift. It's a little embarrassing that my bathroom was nasty for so long, but problem solved!

I love that the litter on the mat stays stuck, but is easily removed when I shake it back into the litter box. No wasted litter and it takes just a second. The mat looks clean again after being shaken out - no dust or litter particles remaining after shaken.
The 2 mat idea is great. I have 2 litter boxes - 1 smaller and 1 larger. These mats were perfect sizes to places 1 mat at the entry way to each box.
My cat has a history of inappropriate urination if his litterbox area is changed or unpleasant for him. These mats did not change his pattern in any way. I haven't even seen him looking at them. No harsh plastic smell - which I was a little concerned about.
Side notes:
There is still litter around the mat because my cat is a jumper and litter flies everywhere. It's not going to attract flying litter, but will catch it when it falls.
I'm not sure how the "clean-up" cats will feel about the mats texture. My cat does not clean up the outside of the box after going. I've seen some cats do this. The plastic mesh is surprisingly soft to the touch, so it should be pleasant for them.

This works great for what it's supposed to: trap cat litter. So why the 4 stars? The product needs to be larger. It works for one of our cat pans, because the way the pan is positioned (It's an enclosed pan and faced sort of into a corner. The cats don't mind) there isn't much space for the cats to step out, so they *have* to step onto the mat and yes, it does a great job of capturing the litter. For an open pan, where the cat can exit on any side, this mat would need to be much bigger, or more purchased. The material it's made of it great - it's just the size that's an issue. Also - it's cute that it's shaped like a paw; however that slightly reduces the amount of material to capture litter. And, with litter capture every little bit helps. Despite those issues, the material does a great job so I would recommend. The neutral color is nice, too.

Not the Perfect Solution to Wild Litter, but it is a Big Help!

I bought this because I was SO tired of the cat picking up litter on his paws and tracking it all over the floors. I don't mind litter in the area near the litterbox, that's to be expected, but when it's all over the hard floors and carpet, then it becomes an issue!

These litter mats have been pretty good so far. I can't say that the problem has completely resolved itself, but there is significantly less litter being tracked by my kitty. The material that they are made out of is the type that would grab onto any loose material, but not stick to your hand (or paw). Cleaning the mat has proven to be quite easy as well, all I've had to do is shake them off.

I'm glad I bought these. They're keeping my floor a little bit cleaner, and I'm sure the kitty appreciates not having litter between his toes anymore when he exits the box!

Update: The customer service team at this company contacted me directly to ask how the quality of my product was and if I was happy with it. They also made sure to let me know that if anything were to go wrong or I was unhappy in any way that they would be sure to take care of any problems I had. I'm impressed! Excellent customer service! I am exceedingly happy with this product!
