National Public Seating BT3060 Steel Frame Rectangular Blow Molded Plastic ... 5ft. long
Update after 4yrs of usage, Aug 21, 2018:-After 4yrs on usage, the table did cave in to the middle a bit, you can see in photo 3."Bumps" also happen around where I arms rest most, see photo 1 and 2. I have the light shine from the left so make it more clear.Both happen around the 2nd year. But so far they are not getting worse.It is still a good computer desk for me. But if you need a working table with perfectly flat surface, then this is not for you.PS: Photos are taken on 2018, 4yrs after purchase, not when it first arrive.Following is original review on Jun 30, 2014:-This table is extremely well constructed. No tool needed and no assemble needed.The top is one piece and very strong. I am 180lbs+, did not feel any curve in when I stand on top of it.The only regret for me is I did not get a longer one. With 2 21" monitors, an open laptop, 2 keyboards and 2 mouse, it feel a bit crowded. I properly will get another one but 7ft., and arrange them in L shape.This table is perfect as a desk or utility table.

Really nice table. I bought this for college because I needed a cheap "desk" for the interim. So I'm going to review this table as a "desk" (in case anyone is looking to buy a cheap "desk" for themselves).

==========
Pros:
1. The table has little plastic feet at the bottom to prevent the table from tearing up your carpet and/or scratching up your floors. Not all tables have feet, and these particular plastic feet seem to be of good quality.

2. The table is VERY stable. I tried shaking it to see if it rattles, but it does not. (This is a big deal for me because I don't want to use a desk that shakes/rattles as I write.)

3. 5 feet is the perfect desk size. I think any less than 5 feet would feel small, and anything bigger than 5 feet would feel large.

4. This table is extremely SMOOTH despite a very subtle texture on the top. When I write, my writing does not look squiggly at all. This is a big plus for me because, well, I don't want the handwriting on my homework looking squiggly.

5. This table is only about 30 lbs, which is pretty light (all things considered). Basically, you only need 1 or 2 people to carry it, which makes it extremely portable and easy to move in/out of apartments. (If you're a student like me, this is a big deal.)

6. It's the right height. If you have a computer chair at home, it'll work perfectly with this desk. (I personally bought my computer chair at a used furniture store for $25 and it was hardly used at all. So if you're in need of a chair for this desk, you may want to consider used furniture to help you reduce cost, as opposed to buying some cheap plastic chair.)

==========
Cons:

1. This isn't a huge con for me, but this table doesn't look like a desk at all (duh). If you're looking for something that could pass as a real desk, this isn't the table for you. The metal legs stand out quite a bit when put next to real furniture - but if all you need is something functional, then who cares about the legs?

2. This also isn't a huge con for me, but I thought I'd point it out: On both ends of the table, there is an engraved logo that says "National Public Seating". It's about 1 inch in height and 3 inches in width. If you want to share your desk with your friends (like when you invite them over to do homework with you), the logo might get in the way of your writing unless you put something solid on top of it to cover it. For me, it's not a big deal because I'm not sharing this desk.

==========
Conclusion:

I would buy this table again if I ever needed a second "desk". I do have my own computer desk at home, but I've taken it apart so many times that I'm afraid I won't be able to put it back together again if I do take it apart. Though, the great thing about this "desk" is that it can also be used as a workbench OR picnic table when/if you buy a real desk for yourself. It has many uses, and it's very stable. It's only about $50, so you can't really go wrong here.

Let me start off by saying, that I am stickler for solid construction. I won't buy anything that isn't made well, and I know junk from a well made product. This is not an overpriced, well made product from America. But it is a well made product fair price item from China, Which brings me to my only complaint about this product, it is made in China. Yet it is made better than the average Chinese product. Don't get me wrong, that is not a knock on the product only the place of manufacture. And for the Chinese people reading this, that might take offense, that statement is pointed to the companies that send all their work over there, instead of manufacturing their products in the USA,....... okay, jumping off my soapbox now.
The top is nice and sturdy, flat, well made, likewise, are the legs. This is better than the typical quality (lack of quality) table you typically find for $50-$60.
More than adequate for events, dinner guests, the sewing room, the computer room, the shop out in the garage. There are a couple of small items that I would have designed a little differently. But having said that, I overbuild almost everything.
One point I would bring up with the manufacture, why not put a handle on one of the long sides for transporting the table.
The table is not light, but then you don't get good quality with a table this size, that is light. I don't know how much it weighs other than it weighs in, like a good sturdy table should. Yet easily carried by probably most women, and almost all teen to grown men.
In my lengthy opinion. I think this table is a very good value, which seem to be getting harder and harder to find these days.

My last note, the manufacturer claims 1000 pounds, absolutely don't try it, I think less than half of that would be pushing it's safety limits. Trying to slide that much weight from one end of the table to the other end of the table, as opposed to downward pressure on the table, would be its weakest link. Which could possibly caused the legs to collapse. I think three or four or 500 pounds, is all you should ask this table to endure. If you're going to put that much weight on a table, you need to be looking at some sort of industrial furnture.

This is a good table, at a good price. ( Couldn't I have said that without the above rant ?)

This was bought as a worktable in my garage , we needed something long , sturdy and inexpensive, we saw this on Amazon and it fitted the bill perfectly.

On the other hand , I also must disclaim that after I bought this table, I saw a similar one in Lowes for about $90 plus tax. Similar but not exact.

Initial impression - easy to set up and not cheap or low quality, we have seen some of the similar models from other brands and quite simply the quality and craftsmanship of some of these other brands are unacceptable. We are glad that we chose this brand because we can see this table lasting us for years.

Functionality - this table is genuinely portable, most portable table sacrifice the portability for durability and sturdiness, but this one does not. Even adults can hop on and have a dance on the table without worrying about anything breaking. It has coated steel legs and it's braced so the legs will probably last longer than the table.

The table can be folded and stores easily, this is perfect because not everyone has room to store a 96 inch table.

Please also note that the steel leg braces could be obstructive if you plan to store anything under the table

I purchased two of these tables to act as the gaming surface for our Dungeons & Dragons game.

The tables are sturdy and can support a lot of books along with a grid playing surface (we use Tact Tiles for our grid, which have a decent amount of weight when you have a bunch of them).
The legs fold beneath the table so they take up very little room for storage; I could easily stack these under a bed.

Setup and Packup doesn't take long, as the legs just fold out (or in), with a simple locking ring which prevents the support beam from moving unless the ring is pushed upwards (or moved, while the table is on its side).

The top surface is a hard plastic, which won't damage easily.

We bought this folding table for double-duty on the deck of our vacation home in Québec. It's surprisingly light for its size, sits firmly on the ground when legs are locked into position, and offers just enough space for four when feeding a family. A great value for money.
