I have enjoyed this food processor. I've used it for a lot of things, and it got the job done. I'm just very disappointed that it didn't even make it a year before the seal in the lid broke. I've been trying to figure out how to get a replacement seal, but it has not been an easy process.

This is a very versatile food processor. It is so fast that it is well worth the cleanup time. When I use the unit I just fill a sink with soapy water and clean as I go. I did not think I'd use the dicer much, but I have used it every week to chop onions and celery for soups and sauces. A few bits need to be diced by hand, and there is a tool that is supposed to be for cleaning that can push the last vegetables out of the dicer blades. It only does one size of dice, but that is a standard enough size for most things. The only thing I have tried that did not dice well was peeled tomatoes; I have not yet tired unpeeled, but I suspect they will dice well. The slicer blade has adjustable width and that is really very useful. I have used it for several things, including winter squash. I thick sliced squash stir-fried with cranberries and finished with a bit of maple syrup is going to be a go-to recipe this winter. It grates cheddar like a dream -- I don't like the stuff they put on pre-grated cheese, so this is a wonderful feature for me. It also grates carrots and zucchini well. The blade function also works as it should. Hummus in minutes. The only thing I have not tried is the pastry blade, but I am getting to that. This was a wonderful purchase for me. Two cautionary notes, though. You cannot use the slicer or grater blades on the small bowl. They fit on that bowl, but too snugly to spin freely. I checked the directions and it does not say explicitly not to do this; I think it should say that. Also, this unit takes up a lot of storage space. Even if you keep the main unit on your counter you will need a cupboard for the blade storage case, dicer unit, and other parts. Maybe not the best choice for the small kitchen.

I like the newer drive system, but miss the weight and stability of the older models. The plastic pieces are pretty much the same as the older models as far as rigidity is concerned. The blade design seems much sturdier but seems to ride higher above the bottom (but that could just be bad memory as I dont have the old one.) I have not had the opportunity to use every function yet, but the few I have used have been simpler to use and adjust. Ther results have been exceptional. The unit is much quieter than older models.
It looks like you won't need as many different blades due to adjustability. All in all, a great product.
