Product Description

Zojirushi stainless steel vacuum insulated mugs will keep beverages hot or cold for hours. The light weight compact design takes minimal space while maximizing capacity. The leak-proof flip-open lid keeps beverages hot or cold and covers the mouth area to maintain cleanliness. Each lid also features a safety lock to prevent accidentally spilling. The interior of the mug has an easy-to-clean, BPA-Free, Slick Steel polished stainless steel interior. Slick Steel finish is an alternative to nonstick coating. Instead of coating with nonstick material, the stainless steel interior is electro-polished to smooth the surface to repel foreign substances and stains.

Keeps water ice cold all day long

This is the best water bottle I’ve ever used. I love the fact that I can put ice in from the refrigerator dispenser without having it fall all over the place; nearly 3” is the perfect size opening for doing this and almost every other water bottle has a tiny opening which makes ice fall on the floor when you try to fill it from a refrigerator dispenser. The outside of the bottle stays warm to the touch while the inside temperature of the water bottle remains ice cold when you put ice in it. It’s pretty amazing how it works. I fill it about halfway full of ice and add cold water to the fill line, screw the cover back on and head to work around 7:30 am. This water bottle stays in my car until I get home from work usually around 5:30 pm. I’ll open it several times during the drive to take sips, but it remains seated in the cupholder where it fits well in the vehicle. My vehicle has been parked in a parking lot with all windows rolled up in the scorching heat the last few weeks with outside temperatures approaching 90 degrees. I imagine the inside temperature of the vehicle is much hotter. When I get back out to my car after work the bottle is warm to the touch on the outside, but when I take a sip of water it is still just as cold as it was the morning I poured it and the ice is still in there, with very little melting. I have not put warm liquids in this bottle yet so I’m not sure how well it keeps liquids warm. The lock and seal on this bottle are both well engineered. I have never had any leaking or accidental top opening and would feel confident in throwing this bottle in a bag knowing it won’t leak. The lid and seal can be removed to hand wash, but I wouldn’t put it in the dishwasher if you want the seal to stay in good condition. This bottle is my go to bottle now at home and at the office, but it is a must have if you travel. Definitely worth the money you pay and based upon my experience with other similar products this blows the Yeti Rambler out of the water in terms of ice/cold water retention. Fantastic product.

After tiring of what has to be one of the largest collections of coffee travel mugs, upwards of two dozen, that all have their flaws, I decided to purchase this one mainly in the hopes that it will not leak. It has not disappointed in any way. It is very well made stainless steel inside and out being polished inside. The screw on lid is black abs plastic with a stainless steel button which is depressed after sliding the lock to open. Two silicone seals, one on the bottom of the lid that seals the mug body and the other that seals off the drinking opening totally contain all liquid. After drinking, closing the lid creates a vacuum through the top seal. Fit and finish are impeccable with no sharp edges. Hot liquids stay hot for more than eight hours. I used 190 degree water from my Keurig and checked it every hour with a candy thermometer. After eight hours, which is a normal shift at work for me, it was still at 145 degrees. A very drinkable temperature. If anything negative even remotely can be stated, it may hold temperature too long for some people. If this is the case for you, I would just leave the lid open if possible. If rated on a one to ten scale, it gets a ten from me. It never leaks and it holds temperature. Plus it looks great too. I cannot envision a scenario where this will not please even the most scrutinizing consumer, of which I consider myself to be.

I have three of these Zoji mugs and I love them. I spent about 5 years searching for the perfect travel mug, without success, before finally laying down close to $40 for my first Zoji - this model in green. About 6 months later i saw the red one on sale for $20 and i snapped it up, then the brown one for $25. I diligently hand washed for 3 years and they remained perfectly intact. I got lazy last year and started throwing them in the dishwasher, delicate cycle only. Functionality does not seem to be affected - still close, seal, and keep my coffee hot. The brown mug started to peel and looks pretty bad, but the green and red are still great. The brown definitely had a coating, whereas the other two, the colour seems fused into the steel. Hard to explain, but if you know you’ll be dishwashing it and you’re concerned about peeling - get the red or green (from what i can see here from other reviewers the stainless seems to have a coating on it too). The “slicksteel” is just a very shiny steel interior - something I preferred over their other nonstick dark interiors. . There is a “fill line” marking on the inside of the mug - of you fill above the line, the liquid will affect the mugs ability to seal properlyI - the only times my mugs have ever leaked was because i filled too much. This will fit under a single brew coffee maker, this will fit in your cup holder. This WILL keep your coffee hot for hours. The lid pops up for drinking, but does not impede vision at all. Considering any other “premium” travel mug costs at least $20, and these mugs seem to have stayed at about $27 for a couple of years - spend the extra $7 and get the Zoji. You won’t regret it. . I found the perfect travel mug - highly recommend.

I really love this mug. The lock on the lid is trustworthy and I know that if I throw it in my bag on the way to work, everything in there will stay safe and dry.

It’s pretty easy to clean as it’s nice and wide, and the lid doesn’t have any super small books that are hard to clean. The mouth piece doesn’t detach like others I’ve seen though.

It keeps my drinks super warm and even super cold, for whenever I’ve used it for my morning smoothie.

Overall I’d give it an almost perfect. I’d just make it available in more colours/patters and maybe make the lid slightly easier to clean.
