Top marks for quality and easy grip, but the 'teeth' on the bottom of this muddler will not help you tear into much...fine for crushing sugar cubes and releasing a bit of oil from citrus skins, but probably won't get the job done for something like mint leaves, at least not 'in the glass'.

I make a lot of Caipirinhas, and use this for the demerara sugar, but usually wind of juicing the limes separately--it's easier to use a hand-press than this muddler, which is a bit disappointing.
