By Wirecutter Staff

At Wirecutter, we don’t recommend cheap stuff—at least not stuff that’s cheap in quality. We do, however, love great value. We spend Cyber Monday looking for fantastic deals on items that are surprisingly good for the price. Here, we’ve gathered some of the best deals we’ve found on Wirecutter picks—all of them priced under $50, and all vetted by our team of expert testers.

Roku Streaming Stick 4K
Deal price: $30; street price: $50
Read our review of the best media streaming devices.

With so many streaming services out there, it’s nice to have a dedicated media streamer that consolidates all of your subscriptions into a single place and does the job well. As our upcoming runner-up pick, the Roku Streaming Stick 4K replaces the older Streaming Stick+, doing everything the older model did plus a few new tricks. Its inclusion of AirPlay 2 support makes it a good choice for streaming music and movies from Apple devices, as well. The only major caveat is that Roku is in a dispute with Google, which has resulted in the removal of the YouTube TV app for a long time and may cause the removal of the regular YouTube app soon. But if you’re not going to be using this media streamer for YouTube content, it’s an excellent model to pick up.

Ozeri Pronto Digital Multifunction Kitchen and Food Scale (Teal)
Deal price: $9; street price: $12
Read our review of the best kitchen scale.

Even a simple kitchen scale will upgrade your baking. Similar to our top pick in look and feel, the Ozeri Pronto was slightly more accurate during testing, particularly with heavier weights. However, the scale automatically shuts off after two minutes and is slower to read smaller items than the competition. Still, if you’re looking for an affordable and attractive scale for your kitchen, our compact budget pick offers a great balance of features. Although we’ve seen this price for the red and teal versions in the past, this remains a great deal on an affordable kitchen scale.

Monoprice Strata Home Sous Vide Precision Cooker 800W
Deal price: $42; street price: $60
Read our review of the best sous vide machine and gear.

If you like the idea of sous vide but don’t want to spend a lot, this deal matches the best price we’ve seen for our budget pick. Although the Monoprice Strata is a bit louder than our other picks (and not quite as advanced), it’s still an efficient machine that’s significantly more affordable—a perfect entry-level option for anyone wanting to dive into sous vide cooking without a major initial investment.

Amazon Fire HD 8 Tablet (10th generation)

Amazon Fire HD 8 Tablet (32 GB, 10th generation)
Deal price: $45; street price: $75
Read our review of the best Android tablets.

An impressively affordable tablet that gets the job done, the Fire HD 8 is a great option if you’re looking for a device that the whole family can use. Our budget pick runs Fire OS quickly, though we found its 1280×800 screen to be less sharp than that of the competition. As long as you don’t mind missing out on apps from the Google Play store, this deal is an excellent chance to save on a solid Amazon-powered media tablet.

Hanna Andersson Organic Cotton Long John Pajamas

Deal price: $24; street price: $46
Read our review of the best kids pajamas.

Give the kid in your life the gift of some bedtime fun this year. Hanna Andersson’s sale has knocked down the price of its kids pajamas—including this classic pick from our guide to our favorite kids pajamas—to $24 in the Dreidel and Dino Fair Isle patterns. Available in a wide variety of sizes, these organic cotton long johns are comfortable, fun, and durable.

Philips Norelco Multigroom Series 7000 MG7750 Beard Trimmer

Deal price: $35; street price: $55
Read our review of the best beard trimmer.

Offering everything we look for in a great beard trimmer, the Philips Norelco Multigroom Series 7000 is now down to $35 with store pickup—matching the lowest price we’ve seen. Compact and easy to hold, the Multigroom sits right in the Goldilocks zone for power—it’s capable enough to work efficiently but not so powerful that an accidental slip leaves you with half a mustache. Fifteen guide combs, three trimmer heads, a small foil shaver head, and a nose-hair trimmer are all included in this package.

Bonobos Soft Everyday Tee

Deal price: $21; street price: $25
Read our review of the best white T-shirts for men.

A classic white T-shirt is a much-needed wardrobe staple, and at $21 with code FRIDAY30, the Bonobos Soft Everyday Tee is sure to fit the bill. Featuring a wide range of sizes, styles, and colors, Bonobos offers more mix-and-match options than any other pick in our white T-shirt guide, though there’s less flexibility for 3XL and 4XL sizes. Overall, this is a great opportunity to save on this boxy, stretchy tee that’s simple enough to lounge in at home but luxe enough to wear to dinner at a nice restaurant.

Lego Classic Medium Creative Brick Box

Lego Classic Medium Creative Brick Box

Deal price: $24; street price: $28
Read our review of the best Lego sets for kids.

If you want a large variety of brick shapes and colors bearing the Lego brand, the Lego Classic Medium Creative Brick Box is a time-tested choice. We recommend it in our guide to the best Lego sets for kids as a more advanced option for those who demonstrate that they’re ready for creative and open play. This 484-piece set is down to $24 from a street price around $28. Even though that isn’t a big discount, it matches the previous low we’ve seen. Shipping is delayed, so choose store pickup to grab it immediately without the shipping fees.

A blue Lunya washable silk sleep bask, shown next to a teabag.

Lunya Washable Silk Sleep Mask

Deal price: $36; street price: $48
Read our review of the Lunya sleep mask.

Our testers love the Lunya Washable Silk Sleep Mask for its silky softness on the eyes and ears combined with its ability to protect your skin and all hair types. It also completely blocks out light and muffles peripheral sound, although it doesn’t entirely silence noise. The Lunya is definitely a splurge in the realm of face masks, but this deal helps to make the dream of a good night’s sleep a reality.

model wearing Universal Standard Mola Pants

Universal Standard Mola Pants

Deal price: $43; street price: $72
Read our review of the best pajamas.

The Mola pants from Universal Standard are our favorite lounge pants for people with curves. They come in a variety of sizes and are well made from a cozy, jersey fabric. This deal is available in the chestnut color, but all other colors are also on sale for just a few bucks more.

Hydro Flask 22-ounce Tumbler

Hydro Flask 22-Ounce Tumbler

Deal price: $23; street price: $30
Read our review of the best tumbler.

Though you can’t toss this tumbler in your bag like other water bottles, the Hydro Flask easily fits into most hands and cup holders, and its spill-proof lid simplifies sipping while you’re on the move. If you haven’t been doing much commuting lately, its double-wall vacuum insulation—which retains heat and cold for hours—also makes it great for everyday use and for those times when you’re out running errands. Note that though this tumbler is dishwasher safe, some detergents and high temperatures may cause discoloration of the outer coating.

Google Nest Mini

Smart speakers can be surprisingly helpful, and our budget-friendly Google Assistant pick is currently available for $25 bundled with a smart plug. Although the Nest doesn't offer quite as many smart-home integration options as Alexa, the included smart plug allows you to remotely activate devices via voice control. If you're looking to create an inexpensive multiroom audio system that connects to your Google apps, this is a nice chance to save on an already affordable option. Make sure you choose store pickup or bundle it with a larger purchase to avoid shipping prices.

Ryobi 95-Piece Drill and Drive Kit
Deal price: $18; street price: $30
Read our review of the best drill bit set.

Nothing is more frustrating than being unable to complete a job because you don't have the right bit. Luckily, this 95-piece variant of our top pick offers just the right mixture of bits, so you won't be caught unprepared. The Ryobi Kit offers a versatile selection, a tough case, and useful accessories, giving you the tools to handle any type of home project you encounter. Currently just $18 with home pickup, this is a great opportunity to save on a useful, high-quality drill kit.

The Bodum Chambord, our runner up for best french press, with a glass carafe, shiny stainless steel frame, and black handle.
Photo: Michael Murtaugh

Bodum Chambord French Press (34oz)
Deal price: $30; street price: $36
Read our review of the best French press.

A French press is an easy coffee brewing option that produces a nice cup of coffee without the fuss of a more complicated setup. Simple but elegant, the Bodum Chambord is a classically designed option that makes a balanced cup of mostly grit-free coffee. This isn't the best deal we've seen for our runner-up pick, but discounts are rare and fleeting, so we still think this is a decent chance to pick up this retro 50's-style press.

Fiskars Orange-Handled

Fiskars 8 Inch The Original Orange-Handled Scissors
Deal price: $7; street price: $9
Read our review of the best scissors and kitchen shears.

Every house needs at least a basic pair of scissors for simple tasks. If you want a basic pair and budget is your top priority, we recommend Fiskars 8 Inch The Original Orange-Handled Scissors. These classic scissors aren't as sharp or durable as our other picks, but they perform common tasks just as well. This deal is only the second notable discount we've seen for our budget pick and it's a new low price.

1Password Password Manager (Individual Plan, 1-year)
Deal price: $18; street price: $25
Read our review of the best password managers.

Using the same password across different accounts on multiple sites is a guaranteed future headache, because when a single account is compromised, all of them are now at risk. So unless you're planning on committing a dozen unique and complex passwords to memory, a password manager is your best bet. Back on sale for new subscribers, the individual plan of our top password manager pick is down to $18 from $25.

A Ring Video Doorbell Wired shown setup on a home.
Photo: Rachel Cericola

Ring Video Doorbell Wired + Amazon Echo Dot (3rd Gen)
Deal price: $42; street price: $90
Read our review of the best smart doorbell camera.

While we initially removed the Ring Video Doorbell from our smart doorbell pick list due to privacy concerns, Ring has enhanced its privacy and security practices enough that we're comfortable recommending them again. Our budget pick for best smart doorbell cam, it doesn't have the same perks as our other picks, but it's considerably cheaper, smaller, easy to install, and delivers solid performance. If you're also interested in grabbing a third generation Echo Dot, this is a really nice deal that bundles both. Just note that the Ring doorbell does require the Ring Protect basic plan ($30 a year) to record motion events.

montem poles on rocky ground

Montem Ultra Strong Trekking Poles
Deal price: $48; street price: $70
Read our review of the best trekking poles.

The Montem Ultra Strong Trekking Poles is the top pick in our guide to the best trekking poles. Use code WIRECUTTER48 to snag this deal for $48. We love these poles for their sturdiness and simplicity - plus, these poles come with rubber tips and baskets included, whereas with most other trekking poles you need to order these accessories separately.

Marathon Analog Desk Alarm Clock with Auto-Night Light
Deal price: $20; street price: $25
Read our review of the best alarm clocks.

A compact, but full-featured alarm clock is a great option if your nightstand is low on space or if you want something easy to travel with. Just shy of the lowest we've seen, this alarm clock option, in our Competition section, is currently available for $20 and in several colors. Do keep in mind that because of its compact size, the printed numerals can be hard to read at a glance.

Benefit They're Real Mascara
Deal price: $18; street price: $25
Read our review of the best mascara.

Benefit They're Real Mascara is a great water-resistant option that performed the best in terms of volume, separation, and smudging when compared with other the non-waterproof formulas tested. Although it didn't have as much staying power as our top pick, we recommend it for those who don't want to add makeup remover to their daily routine. This is the first deal we've seen since December 2020, so it's a great time to pick it up—just make sure to use code FRIYAY to get the deal price.

The women’s version of the 32 Degrees Lightweight Baselayer Crew Top, shown in turquoise.
Photo: 32 Degrees

The 32 Degrees Lightweight Baselayer crew tops are inexpensive base layers made of varying mixes of polyester, acrylic, rayon, and spandex that are extremely comfortable. Soft and formfitting without being tight, these are pieces you could wear all day, whereas a technical wool layer can sometimes feel like something you want to peel off right after you come inside. Don't forget to use the code SLICKFREE for free shipping.

The Milwaukee 48-22-1502 Fastback Utility Knife with Blade Storage
Photo: Michael Murtaugh

The purpose of a utility knife is just as it sounds—it's perfect for cutting jobs that are too tough for scissors and able to withstand tasks that would dull the blade of a nicer pocketknife. As only the second deal we've seen for this bundle, our top utility knife pick, the Milwaukee 48-22-1502, and our runner-up pick, the Milwaukee 48-22-1501 Fastback Folding Utility Knife, are back down to $15 with store pickup. Both boast a unique contoured handle that provides an easy, comfortable grip and makes changing blades a breeze (though the smaller 48-22-1501 lacks blade storage).

An orange background with a black, square Tile, our pick for the best bluetooth tracker for Android users.
Photo: Sarah Kobos

Tile Mate (2022) Bluetooth Tracker
Deal price: $20; street price: $25
Read our review of the best Bluetooth tracker.

A Bluetooth tracker is a great tool for finding oft-lost items like keys, and the Tile Mate is the best one we've tested and used for Android users. The Tile Mate's Bluetooth range reaches around 150 feet, and it has a replaceable battery, giving the tracker a longer lifespan than previous generation Tile trackers. Even when out of Bluetooth range, the crowd-finding feature allows others with the Tile app to help you anonymously locate what's missing. This is the first drop for the newest version of the Mate - make sure you choose in-store pickup to grab this deal.

A red Dash Mini Waffle Maker
Photo: Dash

Wirecutter has recommendations for great waffle makers, but on occasion everyone just wants something adorable and small (about the diameter of an Eggo). This mini Dash waffle maker is nonstick for easy waffle extraction, and small enough that storage isn’t a problem. It also comes backed by a one-year warranty. We recommend it in our guide to the absolute best white elephant gifts for less than $25. Although it requires store pickup or added to a qualifying order over $39, the gingerbread style (and a few others) are down to a new low of $10 from $15.

The best spatial repellent for mosquitoes, Thermacell E55 Rechargeable Mosquito Repeller
Photo: Sarah Kobos

This rechargeable-battery-powered mosquito repeller is the most convenient and easy-to-use device we tested. It's nearly as good at stopping mosquitoes as a full application of spray repellent—which means it's actually very effective. It won’t stop every single mosquito from getting you, its coverage area is limited, and it loses efficacy in windy conditions—but all spatial repellents share those flaws, and this model covers a larger area than our previous top pick.

The Tramontina 10-Inch Professional Restaurant Fry Pan
Photo: Michael Murtaugh

Tramontina 10-Inch Professional Restaurant Nonstick Fry Pan
Deal price: $20; street price: $25
Read our review of the best nonstick pan.

A great pan can make all the difference in your food preparation, and an excellent nonstick pan can remove any unneeded frustration. The Tramontina 10-inch Professional distributed heat more evenly than any other nonstick pan we tested, and with proper care, the nonstick coating should stay slick and scratch free for years. This Walmart variant of our top nonstick pan differs in that it has two internal rivets rather than three. Do note that due to being made of aluminum, it is not compatible with induction cooktops.

Superfeet Carbon Insoles
Deal price: $41; street price: $55
Read our review of the best insoles for running and walking.

Do you know how Bigfoot is able to lie low so easily? We think the Superfeet Carbon may have something to do with it. Our upgrade insoles pick for running and walking boasts a slim, low-profile design that utilizes the strength of carbon fiber and the durability of lightweight, high-density foam, so you know you're not compromising comfort or support. In addition to being lighter, firmer, and more breathable than our top pick, these innovative insoles also fit in a wider variety of shoes. Back down to $41, this is a rare deal.

A pair of Bluetooth 1More Piston Fit BT earbuds featuring a thin neckband with controls on the left and microphone on right.
Photo: Rozette Rago

1More Piston Fit BT Earbuds
Deal price: $19; street price: $29
Read our review of the best earbuds under $50.

Update: Down an additional $1 with code WIRECUTTER5. Most inexpensive earbuds are junk, but some are surprisingly great. The 1More Piston Fit BT Earbuds defied all of our testers' expectations with their lightweight, comfortable fit, and surprisingly balanced, clear sound. They boast a variety of impressive features for the price, like user-friendly controls, water resistance, and eight-hour battery life. Though we wish they automatically powered off and on and charged a little faster, but for under $20, we're not terribly hung up on the few features they lack.

A FamilyTreeDNA testing kit
Photo: Caroline Enos

FamilyTreeDNA
Deal price: $40; street price: $70
Read our review of the best DNA testing kit.

This DNA test is fine for tracing your general ethnic origins but shines in its optional add-ons, which provide highly detailed analysis of maternal and paternal lineages. These additional tools should satisfy nearly any genealogy buff looking to explore their connections to early human migration or wanting to find relatives from one particular side of their family tree.

Le Creuset Revolution Basting Brush
Deal price: $11; street price: $15
Read our review of the best grill tools and accessories.

If you prefer a basting brush with a long handle, we recommend the Le Creuset Revolution. The handle kept our hands farther from the flames while we found that the bristles held a good amount of barbecue sauce and created an even coating over the meat. With a removable and dishwasher safe silicone head resistant up to 480 °F, the Le Creuset should be able to tackle any cooking endeavor you embark on.

The best towel for those who prefer thin bath towels, the Riley Spa Towel, shown folded into a square.
Photo: Michael Murtaugh

Riley Spa Bath Towel
Deal price: $36; street price: $45
Read our review of the best bath towel.

We recommend the Riley Spa Bath Towel if you prefer terry, but don’t like thick, supersoft towels—or if you want a terry with a little more style and don’t mind splurging. It’s thinner than our top bath towel pick and has more texture when you run it across your skin. That doesn’t mean it’s a “rough” towel, though. Wonderfully tactile and made of long-staple Egyptian cotton, the fibers are long, strong, and should last for years. A rare deal, this towel in the bath size is down to a new low of $36 when you use code HOLIDAY21. It comes in multiple sizes and colors, and the coupon code works sitewide with free shipping on all orders.

The Logitech HD Webcam C615 shown attached to a monitor edge.
Photo: Michael Murtaugh

Logitech HD Webcam C615
Deal price: $40; street price: $60
Read our review of the best webcams.

When keeping to a budget, the Logitech C615 is your best bet. The overall video quality doesn't match that of our top pick—it's not as sharp, autofocus is slower, and the auto white balance isn't as accurate—but it still has 1080p resolution and looked better than any other camera we tested under $50. In addition, this Logitech model has seen a pretty dramatic increase in street price since we last posted—so although this discount is far from the lowest price we've seen, it's the best price we've seen in nearly two years.

Read our review of the best popsicle molds.

Once you pop(sicle) the fun don't stop(sicle) with the Tovolo Penguin Ice Pop Molds, which are back down to $13 from a street price of about $16. With four cute designs that each boast a sturdy base, these reusable and dishwasher-safe pops hold about 2 ounces of liquid. Though they can be a bit tricky to fill, the silicone design means there's no presoaking or warm water rinsing required, so you can easily peel off your frozen pops.

For The Great Pottery Throw Down binge watcher in your life, consider this classic floral earthenware piece from our upcoming mug guide. Down to the first deal we've seen at $36 shipped in the ½-pint size, the Emma Bridgewater Flowers Snowdrop mug is perfect for your morning cup of coffee or tea. Our staff loves this English-style option because it's so simple to mix and match—just be sure not to put it in the microwave.
