Headphones are part audio technology, part attire. And just like a pair of jeans, one size does not fit all—at least not without some alterations. Finding the correct fit for your headphones not only means the difference between comfort and irritation, it also can be the difference between good and bad sound quality. If you bought a pair of well-reviewed headphones that lots of people love, only to find that they sound lacking in bass, there’s a good chance fit is to blame. Additionally, if your headphones fall out, chafe, or pinch, you’ve got a fit problem.
Luckily, you can address many of these issues with some simple adjustments if you know what to aim for. If you’ve ever wondered, “what can I wear with my glasses?” or “what if none of the included tips on my earbuds fit me?” or even “am I wearing these things the best way possible?” watch the above video for tips, tricks, and a little physics-of-sound lesson!
