Dear Wirecutter: What Is the Best Fast-Charging Four-Port Car Charger?

Q: My family has four totally different mobile devices supporting different fast-charging standards like USB-C, Qualcomm Quick Charge, and Samsung’s Fast Charging. So I need two fast-charging car chargers: one with four USB ports and the other with at least two USB ports.

We haven’t tested this particular model, but it satisfies all the criteria, and we’ve had an overall positive experience with iXCC’s products in the past.

Buying Options

A: The iXCC 50W 4-Port Car Charger looks like a good option for you. Although we haven’t actually tested this specific model—and likely won’t, because it’s aimed at more of a niche need than the models we looked at—it appears to meet all your requirements. It has a 3-amp USB-C port, a Quick Charge 3.0 port, and two USB ports, each at 2.4 amps. iXCC seems to trade free products for positive reviews, so we don’t put total faith in this model's almost universally high ratings on Amazon, but we have had good personal experiences with the company’s other cables and chargers in the past. Our top four-port pick, Anker’s 4-Port USB Car Charger, probably isn’t right for you because it doesn’t support Quick Charge.
