House Tour | Jonathan Saunders

The designer and his rescue dog, Basil, take T on tour of his Williamsburg, Brooklyn, apartment.

[BARKING] Hey, come on in. Don’t mind the dog. [MUSIC PLAYING] And welcome to Brooklyn. We’ve got the Manhattan skyline. And this area of Brooklyn reminds me of where I used to come from, in East London. This is the living room. And this is my beautiful dog, Basil. These are some of the cushion designs I did with the Rug Company. This is the first piece of furniture I designed. And this is one of my favorite artists. This is my favorite cookbook. We have people over at least once a week. This is my favorite little nook, surrounded by my books. [BLEEP] is that hard. [INAUDIBLE] This is by Victor Vasarely. He inspired my first collection. This is my collection of white ceramics from Germany. This is one of my works in progress. Donald Judd chair. Sottsass penis. These are my textile designs. I screen printed these myself. This is my office. My mood boards. I’m trying a new spray technique on metal. This was a disaster. I’ve been collecting kimonos for years. I don’t wear them, though. My dog matches my bed. Our closet is a disaster. You’re not coming in here. O.K. guys, I have a flight to catch. But thanks for coming. [BARK]
