Liverpool have confirmed that goalkeeper Adrian has decided to leave the club following the end of his contract this summer.

The Spaniard was offered an extension but has opted to pursue a new challenge after five years at Anfield. Adrian was a popular figure in the dressing room as he provided experienced cover for Alisson and Caoimhin Kelleher.

Bayern confirm signing of Olise

Bayern Munich have completed the signing of Michael Olise from Crystal Palace on a five-year contract.

The Athletic reported last month that Olise decided to join Bayern following interest from a number of clubs.

Bayern approached Palace, while Chelsea initially had permission to talk to Olise but eventually decided the financial terms were deemed to be prohibitive and opted not to pursue the deal. Newcastle United also made an approach to Palace, and Manchester United and Manchester City had previously shown sustained interest.

Leicester City have completed the signing of midfielder Michael Golding on a four-year contract from Chelsea.

Golding's arrival at the King Power Stadium comes after Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall moved in the opposite direction as part of a separate transaction on Tuesday. Chelsea agreed a fee of £30million ($38m) with Leicester for the midfielder, who signed a six-year contract at Stamford Bridge.

The deal for Golding, 18, will not include matching rights for Chelsea on any future transfer — unlike Omari Hutchinson’s switch to Ipswich Town.

"I learned on the streets — and that’s where creativity comes to life."

A product of the 'Johan Cruyff courts' of Schiedam, Joshua Zirkzee is a striker who could offer something very different to Man United's attack.

Manchester United are working to finalise the signing of Bologna forward Joshua Zirkzee.

United have agreements in place on personal terms and agent commission, which is sizable but viewed at Old Trafford as fair in the context of an overall package deemed good value for money.

Zirkzee’s contract includes a €40million (£34m) release clause and talks continue about the fee. The clause must be paid in full, which is a potential cashflow issue for the Premier League club, and they are therefore exploring whether to activate it or negotiate a price separately.

Sancho expected back at United tomorrow

Sancho expected back at United tomorrow

Jadon Sancho is due to return to Carrington following the end of his loan spell at Borussia Dortmund, even though his differences with Ten Hag remain unresolved.

Sancho was placed on a personal training programme away from the rest of the squad last September after publicly criticising Ten Hag, claiming he had been made “a scapegoat for a long time”, and then refusing to apologise.

Ten Hag’s contract extension makes the 24-year-old’s reintegration difficult unless there is a reconciliation. At the start of the window, United were open to listening to offers for Sancho regardless of their manager’s future.

An asking price of £40m is yet to be met, however, with Sancho’s salary of more than £200,000 per week and status as one of United’s highest-earning players meaning there are obstacles to a quick sale.

Sancho’s return is viewed as a chance to turn over a new leaf and revive his Old Trafford career although it is unclear whether there will be clear-the-air talks on his return with Ten Hag at this stage.

After his loan spell at Getafe ended, Mason Greenwood is a United player once more and would typically be expected to return to training with the rest of the squad tomorrow.

However, Greenwood is likely to be given additional time off as the club continues working to secure a possible sale. Marseille and Lazio are in advanced talks for the 22-year-old.

Greenwood has not trained at Carrington since his arrest for attempted rape, assault, and coercive control in January 2022 and subsequent suspension by United.

Following the UK’s Crown Prosecution Service's decision to discontinue the case last year, United initially planned to reintegrate Greenwood but performed a U-turn, ultimately deciding he would resume his career away from Old Trafford.

Kilman, 27, joins the east London club for a fee in the region of £40million ($51.2m). He has signed a seven-year contract at the London Stadium through to 2031.

Chelsea sign Baltimore from PSG

Chelsea sign Baltimore from PSG

Chelsea have completed the signing of France forward Sandy Baltimore on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain.

The 24-year-old has signed a four-year deal with the Women’s Super League champions to keep her at the club until 2028, as reported by The Athletic last month.

The move will see Baltimore link up with new Chelsea head coach Sonia Bompastor after the former Lyon boss was confirmed as Emma Hayes’ successor last month. Chelsea, however, had been keeping tabs on the talented winger way before the appointment of compatriot Bompastor.

Baltimore, who has made over 200 appearances for PSG and has a fair amount of Champions League experience, is a versatile attacking midfielder who can play on either wing. As a left-footed player, she will provide more balance to the squad.

Miguel set for Forest medical ahead of £3.4m transfer

Brazilian goalkeeper Carlos Miguel will undergo a medical this weekend ahead of a proposed move to Nottingham Forest.

Forest have agreed a deal worth around €4million (£3.4m; $4.3m) with Corinthians for the 25-year-old, who is set to become their third summer signing.

He joins midfielder Elliot Anderson, who signed from Newcastle United earlier this week, and 18-year-old right-back Eric da Silva Moreira, who moved from St Pauli.

Forest have been actively looking to overhaul their goalkeeping department this summer, after last year’s signings Matt Turner and Odysseas Vlachodimos failed to make an impact at the City Ground.

Atlanta’s Almada completes MLS-record move to Botafogo

Thiago Almada has completed his MLS-record transfer from Atlanta United to Brazilian side Botafago.

The Athletic reported earlier this week that, Atlanta will receive $21million for Almada, with the deal potentially reaching up to $30m if conditions for additional payments are met. The 23-year-old has signed a contract until June 2029 with Botafogo.

Almada joined Atlanta from Velez Sarsfield in his native Argentina in 2022 for a reported fee of $16m. He won the MLS Newcomer of the Year award and also became the first player to win the World Cup as an active MLS player later that year.

“We spent more than a year recruiting Thiago to join Atlanta United and during that process we agreed that our club could provide a great platform to showcase his abilities and he would have the opportunity to continue his development until the time was right for him to move on to the next challenge,” Atlanta vice president and technical director Carlos Bocanegra said.
