Orel Mangala, Nottingham Forest’s Belgium international midfielder, is the subject of an offer in the region of £30million from Lyon.
Lyon, currently third from bottom of Ligue 1, see Mangala, 25, as a player who can help to re-establish them among the leading teams in France.
If accepted, the proposal would mean Forest almost trebling the money they paid to recruit Mangala in a £10.5m deal from Stuttgart 18 months ago.
