As we enter July, I don’t want the offseason to pass without bringing back one of my favorite activities. In the summer of 2020 I asked for your thoughts about the state of Penn State football. You all had many opinions then, but none of us could’ve predicted what this sport would look like four years later.

Oregon, Washington, USC and UCLA will be conference opponents. The passing of name, image and likeness legislation has created a domino effect of consequences and advantages for players and fans. We talk, write and wonder about collectives and whether or not donor fatigue has set in.

What's the secret to Penn State landing elite 2025 edge rushers? Nittany Lions recruiting notebook

Penn State has found a level of on-field stability under James Franklin and has gone 22-5 over the last two seasons. The Nittany Lions won a Rose Bowl and lost in the Peach Bowl all while Ohio State and Michigan widened the gap in a Big Ten East division that now no longer exists. Even the familiar backdrop you’re used to seeing on fall Saturdays will eventually look different too. The early stages of a multi-phase renovation at Beaver Stadium will be a focal point moving forward.
