With the Super Bowl nearly here and the 2024 fantasy football season a few months off, now is a great opportunity to make dynasty moves. You can find great value and trades during the “downtime,” as many managers might not be as invested as you are.
A couple of quick notes, as they affect the rankings:
- Rookies are included, but as you will see, they are often grouped — these are tiers of sorts, as we know landing spots will shake things up. Also, I’m not done with all rookie evaluations until March/April, so consider some lower rookie rankings as placeholders.
- I’m a bit more aggressive in downgrading aging vets. Yes, a 30-year-old can still have several quality seasons left, but part of the issue is your trade window. As soon as the downturn starts, the trade value plummets exponentially (ex: we’re now in an area where Stefon Diggs is a potential buy low… and that’s just potentially).
- Several backfields will wildly swing values. For instance, if Josh Jacobs is back with the Raiders, his value jumps back up while Zamir White is crushed. Chase Brown is both a great value and potential sell high, as the Bengals could give him the job, bring back Joe Mixon, or sign someone else altogether.
- Mostly ignore the ECR stuff — it stands for Expert Consensus Ranking, and many of the rankers don’t regularly update theirs, which will skew the ranks.
- Feel free to jump in the comments and ask for further ranks context, start a discussion about a particular rank, etc.
