The 2024-2025 Annual Grant Cycle is now open for applications from August 1-23, 2024. We can’t wait to hear about your proposed project or program! 🌟

To set yourself up for success, be sure to:

1️⃣ Note the priority areas this Grant Cycle supports and ensure your project addresses at least one. Check out previously funded projects or ask us if you’re unsure!

2️⃣ Review the TOT map to confirm your project falls within the TOT-TBID jurisdiction. If it’s on the boundary, reach out before submitting.

3️⃣ Apply through Submittable, our user-friendly platform.

4️⃣ Familiarize yourself with the Application preview to know what you’ll need for a successful submission.

5️⃣ Be aware of the review process and mark your calendars for the applicant presentation dates: October 9-10, 2024.

After Tahoe’s celebrated July 4th festivities, our beaches and surrounding areas can become covered with trash, endangering wildlife and the Lake’s clarity. Each year on July 5th, Tahoe residents and visitors turn out for the largest cleanup of the year to remove litter from Lake Tahoe’s shores. You can help Keep Tahoe Blue by volunteering at a beach cleanup sites around the Lake!

NTCA is investing TBID dollars into a partnership

NTCA is investing TBID dollars into a partnership with @tahoewatertrail The water trail has been around for years – it’s 72 miles of liquid fun – and this partnership expands education around stopping the spread of invasive species in Lake Tahoe and the surrounding lakes. This campaign focuses on the role that “Clean, Drained, and Dry” plays when it comes to inflatable paddleboards. New Zealand Mud Snails can be transported in just a few drops of water – think about the water that collects in the folds of a paddleboard or the paddle. NTCA is enabling the Lake Tahoe Water Trail to expand its outreach to rental shops in North Lake Tahoe’s drive-up markets and educate paddleboarders about the importance of “Clean, D
rain, and Dry” before they launch.

NEW Sunday Commercial Trash Service This Summer
A pilot program will run between June 2 and September 1, 2024 this summer to initiate commercial trash service on Sunday. Commercial customers with at least two scheduled pick-ups can adjust one of those pick-ups to the new Sunday service. Interested customers should call TTSD at 530-583-7800 between 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday to request to change one of their collection days to Sunday.

This pilot program is being funded with Tourism Business Improvement District (TBID) funds. Thank you to the members of the business community who participated in the conversation around the need for Sunday service.
