The purpose of this patch is to restore the licensed music from the Japanese version of Yakuza 6 that was unfortunately cut from all western versions of the game due to SEGA refusing to license the songs in question - "Soubou", "Atom no Ko", "Kibou to Iu Na no Hikari", "飛遊人-Human-" and "Kataomoi" by Japanese singer "Tatsuro Yamashita" as well as "Don Quixote Theme" of the Japanese discount chain store "Don Quijote Co., Ltd.". Furthermore, contrary to some popular belief the cuts pertain to more than just the game's intro scene, thankfully this guide will cover all the necessary steps needed to restore all of the cut music so worry not. Restorations pertain to a variety of cutscenes in the game, Don Quijote store and the game's ending credits scene.
Those of you that might be familiar with our music restoration patches for the PS3 and PS4 Yakuza titles should be right at home with this patch. This video below will give you a glimpse of what you can expect after restoring the licensed music - it shows a cutscene early in the game and so may contain minor spoilers:
