HUD Options

Mod has 3 options to choose from. Additionally it can be customized more to taste with tweaks

Cinematic-HUD

This is the usual type you expect from shooter games, but designed to be more lightweight and less attention drawing.

Cinematic-HUD-crosshair-off

Same as the above but the dot crosshairs are turned off. Weapons with sights will work as usual. Highly recommended to try.

Cinematic-HUD-everything-off

The HUD is turned off completely among with health-bar, fury-meter and weapon display panel. Weapons with sights will work as usual. There are still some elements on, such as: Weapon selection, vox messages, objective message, chapter message and display messages when picking new weapon or object for the first time.

  • SM-cinematic-HUD
  • SM-cinematic-HUD-crosshair-off
  • SM-cinematic-HUD-everything-off

  • pick one of them and copy the "preview" folder within to your Space Marine install directory. For most it's at their steam installation
            "....Steam/steamapps/common/Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine/"
            "....Steam/steamapps/common/Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine/preview"

  • Open steam
  • At library right click space marine game
  • Select properties
  • You will see launch options, add this command (including the dash):   -usepreview

Done!
The mod should be installed and as it is with other mods too it disables multiplayer when the command is in use. If you wish to play multiplayer remove the launch command temporarily.

To uninstall mod entirely, remove added files.

Customization

To install tweaks see the text file in "tweaks folder"
You can change to different options by replacing the files with new ones. It is save game compatible.

Tip: If you prefer original crosshairs and only want to tone down the screen effects, use tweaks by themself without the main mod.

Thanks for trying this out, if there is any issues I can try to fix them so post 'em here please, also feedback is welcomed. I think this is the first HUD mod to this game, so I'm feeling pretty good on discovering how to do it. Emps guidance or something without a doubt xD. Now go kill Urks and Grobi!
