The goal of NPC's Revenge is to make combat a little more challenging and lot more fun, and to give you some new experiences in the Zone.
NPC's Revenge is my "Thank You" to the creators of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series of games, to the creators of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Anomaly and to all the Mod Authors who have who have shared they're work with us over the years.


Fair Warning to Players:
These NPC's will crush your fragile ego.
This game may ruin all other combat games for you...forever!
This mod eats cats.

To find out if this mod is right for you take the: "NPC's Revenge: LOL or Delete It Challenge".
Simply start a new game, walk outside and shoot the first combat NPC you see. That's it. If you didn't LOL then this mod is not for you, Delete It!!



---- NPC's Revenge Main Features ----

NPC's Revenge v1.0 is made for STALKER Anomaly 1.5.2 (Free)

NPC's Revenge is designed to be used as a Complete Overhaul / Stand Alone mod.
This mod can be used in both Story and Warfare modes. 100% Story mode: Main quest tested.

--Ready for "Run and Gun Players"--

Main menu defaults are setup for players just wanting to jump in and have some fun.
New Gameplay & Progression difficulty "Presets" for "Run and Gun" players.(Available after starting the game.)
Recommended presets: Progression.diff = Tourist &  Gameplay.diff = Easy.

--New Keybinds - You will need to set 2--

Autowalk (caps lock key)
Unstick Companions (Keybind) (Main Menu/Controls/Keybinds/Companions/Unstick Companions)
Teleport Companions (Keybind) (Main Menu/Controls/Keybinds/Weapons/kb_tp_companions)


--Quests & Factions--

All Quest NPCs, Faction Leaders, Traders, Mechs, Medics, and Guides have been placed into the "Trader" community and have been made neutral and invulnerable non combatants, they will always be available to you from any faction you join.

Take jobs (fetch quest) from Leaders, Traders, Mechs, Medics from all factions, including enemy factions.

Sid's and Forester's doors will never be locked.

1-2 Fetch quest gives max faction goodwill. Adjust Earned goodwill factor to 100 in the main game menu. (Main Menu/Gameplay/Progression.diff/Earned goodwill factor or use the "Tourist" Preset (top right))
The easiest way to do this, is to go to the local mechanic, ask him for work, give him the 3 sets of tools he asks for, then you will be friendly with that faction.
*If you become friendly with an enemy faction, just start killing a bunch of em! Sooner or later they'll hate you again.

(Wanna see if you can become friends with the enemy? Start as a Stalker. Open the (F7) menu and turn "Go Incognito" or "Invisibility On", then go to the Army Base down the road (don't kill anyone) and give the Mechanic the 3 sets of upgrade tools he ask for. That's it, look around you are now friendly with the Army! You can do this with any faction.) (To become visible again, open the (F7) menu and type in "Invisibility Off" and press enter.)


--Rostock--

General Voronin can be found walking around in his bunker.

Colonel Petrenko can be found walking around in the Duty compound.

If Barkeep is in not in the bar, he will be walking around Rostok somewhere. (Don't worry, if Barkeep is out, the bar is operating on the honor system.)

Asprin (Medic) can be found walking around in the Duty compound.

Mangun (Mech) will be walking around the base somewhere.

Garik and Zorik are patrolling the area around the main entrance to the bar.

* All of the above NPC's are neutral, invulnerable "Traders", but they will turn hostile if attacked. ROFL

The NPCs listed above will not show up on your HUD, but they're still there and function as normal*. (*They will not have items to sell, but will buy yours.)

Most of the Duty guards that guard the entrances are invulnerable combatants.

(All other Duty members are normal combat NPCs.)


--100 Rads Bar--

100 Rads Bar is a neutral zone. All visitors to the bar will temporarily become invulnerable, non-combatants.

 
--Companions--
All companions are invulnerable. (In order for this mod to function properly, this cannot be changed.)

You can have up to 100 companions (if the game doesn't crash).

Ordering companions into stealth mode will turn their headlamps off.

*Game default - Companions can be peacefully dismissed by telling them you want to travel alone x2s. Works with Hip after you have completed her quest.
*Tell companions to Ignore Combat and make sure they are following and are close to you for better fast travel.
*Use the "unstick companions", then the "teleport companions" keybinds if they don't fast travel with you. (May take a few attempts.)


--Hip--
Hip looks 100% better.

Hip is now an invulnerable and neutral "Trader" by default.

Hip will join any faction you join. (She will always be found at Rookie Village).

Hips quest can be completed from any faction. (Hips quest must be completed in order to be able to dismiss her as a companion.)

Optional loadout includes all items Hip needs to complete her quest.

*Tell Hip to Ignore Combat and make sure she is following you and is close to you for better fast travel.
*Use the unstick companions then the teleport companions keybinds if she doesn't fast travel with you. (It may take a few attempts.)


--NPCs---
NPCs don't drop weapons on the ground when they die (usually).

NPCs don't loot corpses as often. (They'll still pick up weapons laying on the ground.)

NPCs run faster so that companions can better keep up with you.

Combat NPCs wear faction specific armor.

Combat NPCs preform better during combat.

Combat NPCs will kill captives much sooner.

Combat NPCs only carry semi/full auto assault rifles. All ranks and factions choose from the same pool of 197 options.
(Game specific snipers have set loadouts.)

Combat NPCs will use medpacks and bandages much sooner when injured.

Combat NPCs can give each other medpacks.

Upon death NPC's weapons and armor will drop in 100% condition.

By default, upon death NPC's and Mutants will drop with slightly more loot, this can be changed with the performance options provided.


--Weapons and Armor--
Equalized range for all weapons to 1000 game units (standard rifle distance), except Sniper rifles which have a range of 1500 game units.

All weapons have been given the same "tiny" boost in damage.

Weapons will no longer degrade or misfire.

You no longer need to upgrade any weapon in order to attach addons.

All scopes and binoculars have been given a boost in magnification and have been made adjustable. (Mouse wheel)

Added full auto fire mode to pistols.

HK 417 & M60 are now available to players thru spawn menu (F7).

All armor has 5 artifact slots.

Sprint in all armor by default.

Mechanics do not require tools to preform upgrades.

Get free repairs and upgrades from mechanics: Adjust under Progression.diff or use the "Tourist" preset.


--Weapons Options--
Rarely Reload Weapons: Same as default weapons except most semi auto weapons have 100K round clips. (Reload once after getting gun and it will show 100K rounds. Unfortunately Combat NPC's will still play their reload animation.)

Funguns for Player Only: NPC's use will use game default weapons (minus wep degradation and misfires). "NPC's Revenge" weapons will only be available thru the in game spawn menu (F7). They are listed after the default weapons.
(This will slow combat down considerably, but you will see Combat NPC's give each other med packs more often and random events throughout the Zone will still play out differently.)


--Mutants--
It's payback time! The Stalkers of the Zone have waited a long time for this!

Sin and Monolith Factions (including Players) are neutral with mutants.

Mutants Fear Me: Players are neutral with mutants, you can still kill them, but they will not turn hostile. (Optional)


--Sounds and Voices--
Many annoying sounds and all fake gunshots removed.

NPC's share a couple more English lines, but in this mod, it's not so much about what you hear as what you don't!
(Friendly Sid? Yep! Respectful NPC's? We got em!)


--Performance--

Most multi use items have been unstacked and have 100 uses. (By default most multi use items are "stacked" which means a pack of 10 equals 10 items, unstacked multi use items count as 1 item that can be used multiple times.)

Traders Only Buy: (Optional)
Reduces the number of objects spawned on maps. Use the spawn menu (F7) instead for items you need/want.

NPCs Reduced inventory and death items: (Optional)
Combat NPC's will not carry, medpacks, ammo, food, pistols or misc trade items. (This will not effect their ability to use medpacks during combat, these are trade items.)
Combat NPC's will only drop with their weapon, badge, pda and some money. (You can control Armor drops in the in game menu under Progression.diff. I recommend setting this to "Off", it cannot be done with a preset or I would have done it for you.)
Mutants no longer drop any loot.
Zombies will drop only with a weapon.
Progression.diff / "Tourist" preset will reduce loot spawns.
NPC inventory is auto cleaned daily. (Every 1 game day)


--Misc--
New items: NPC's Revenge Quick Fix, Feel Better, 2 Minutes of God Mode and the Blood Stain artefact.

Revamped artifacts by reversing negative effects. You no longer need containers to equip artefacts.

Most anomalys no longer do damage. (They still put on their light shows.) *Burner Anomaly's are still active and can kill you. Why? Because I don't know how to turn them off.

No Psy fields.

Headlamps are much brighter.

Max carry weight 10K kg. (Adjust in main game menu under Progression.diff or use the "Tourist" preset.)

You will no longer drop your weapon when hit or shot.

Freedom no longer cares if you take loot laying around.

English language voice lines added.

He is with me script (Allows you to take companions that would normally be enemies to other another factions camp without that faction attacking. However it won't stop your companion from attacking them. Solution: Order companions to ignore combat when taking them to enemy camps.)

NPC's Revenge is designed to be used as a (Complete Overhaul / Stand Alone Mod)
This mod can used in both Story and Warfare modes.
All .ltx and most .xml files used were taken directly from Anomaly 1.5.2.
100% Story mode tested.


--Compatibility with other mods--

100% Compatible with weapons texture mods. (Make sure the texture pack you are using only adds weapons textures.)
Unless you are merging the files yourself and understand the changes you are making, I do not recommend adding other data changing mods to this one.
