Changelogs
This mod replaces the generic falling leaves effect in the Whisperwood and Goldenforst with their own standalone variants, allowing you to use green falling leaves textures elsewhere.

The Whisperwood is now blanketed by a field of spores, sourced from the many contagious fungi that plague the area.

The Goldenforst trees now output a tarnished yellow, all year round.

Why?

I normally use Rudy HQ - Falling Leaves and Needles SE - the Green Leaves variant since it pairs well with the trees in the Heartland and Sun Coast as all of Enderal's regions use the same common FXAttachCameraFallingLeavesEffect. But if you travel to the Goldenforst zone while you're using green leaves, it creates a jarring spectacle of green leaves falling from golden trees. The same could be said for the Whisperwood, where all the trees are dead yet there's still leaves billowing over the place.

With this mod, you can now use green falling leaf textures that fit Enderal's environment while having dedicated ones just for the Whisperwood and Goldenforst zone.

Install Instructions
For your general leaves, I recommend installing Rudy HQ - Falling Leaves and Needles SE and its optional Green Leaves retexture. They are ENB friendly and look great.
Then install this mod.

Compatibility
  • This mod uses the unused BlackreachSnow record to provide the spore effect over the Whisperwood. This mod should go underneath any other mods that affect this.
  • This mod also works by editing the _0E_Pilzwald and _00E_GoldenforstWeather records. You may need a patch if you are using a weather mod that edits these which can be easily done in xEdit(Change the Visual Effect to the one found in the .esp)
  • You might experience a perfromance drop in the Whisperwood due to the snow - but that drop would be the same as venturing into Blackreach in Skyrim and seeing the "snow" there.
  • Your visuals may differ, based on if you are using an ENB/Community Shaders. If the spores are too dark in the Whisperwood at night, I recommend checking the [SNOW] ENB setting and raising the brightness of the particles. That may affect your regular snow particles too, however.
