Witchcraft enables you to customize your items, by applying or removing custom enchantments included in this mod, for a fee depending on the level of the enchantment. You can choose if the strength of the available enchantments depends on your game progress, or if you want them to be available all at once. This is done by using some crystals which are contained in the new chest in the camp. If you do not wish to do so, just ignore or destroy them.

None of the enchantments changes the properties of the source-item. They are unaltered, which is important for e.g. Awakening. For other mods and DLC this might not apply.

The module becomes active mostly after the first dialogues in the background stories. For the mage-background it becomes active when you arrive at The Fade. On the next game load a note will be added to your inventory and you will receive a quest. The new area becomes accessible after you complete Ostagar.

The enchanting is done through a dialogue with a new character Varusha (in the new area). During the dialogue all necessary information is determined, and then the enchantment is applied to the item. In general, it is recommended to save before enchanting an item, so you can roll back the changes, if you make a mistake. The dialogue contains a number of checks, but there is not always a "cancel"-option, because the game-engine is limited to 6 answers, and sometimes there is simply no space (e.g. for attributes).

Example for Enchantment: Which equipmentslot => what shall I do (e.g. enchant, unenchant) => what kind of enchantment? => how strong this should be? (not for all enchantments).

Known Issues:
=================

For balancing reasons enchantments of the kind "All Attributes +x" are not used. Note, that improving all your items to the maximum level might be game-breaking, thus it is recommended not to do this. In general, every item can be improved with up to 5 enchantments. I am not sure if the game engine supports more than 5 enchantments.

n one cutscene Morrigan might make a strange pose (combat mode). This happens if a specific spell (e.g. rock armor) is active when entering the new area. To prevent this just disable it in the tactics-screen or use "Advanced Tactics" by Anakin (Thanks for this Mod!) and restrict the spell to the combat mode.

Installation

lysandra_witchcraft_v1_0.dazip install with DAO Modmanager or daupdater.

The german version and the english version are mostly indentical. You can not use both on the same time. There is no reason to do that. But if you have installed the german version before, then uninstall an delete it. After this install the english version all your saved games should find all of their needed resources.

Deactivate Witchcraft, if you use DAO Modmanager use Uninstall. Then delete lysandra_witchcraft_v1_0.dazip.
