In case the Reshade download has updated to a newer version from what version i've configured the mod to work flawless with - here's a link to older and current versions of 5 series Reshade (Mediafire). Look in the requirements section on this mod-page to see what version I currently use for the reshade preset.
Installation:
Install Reshade 5.3.0 to your DOOM 3 directory, Reshade installer will try to find your game .exe but if it doesn't appear in the list just manually set the directory - example;
"SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Doom 3" - and select the "Doom3.exe"
Choose OpenGL option -> select all packages when installer ask.
Then drag the preset files you've downloaded from my page on Nexusmods to that same location as the Reshade installer installed the Reshade files -> where "Doom3.exe" is located.
While in game let the shader start up and compile, then hit "home", skip tutorial or not, look all the way at the top left you can see a left and right arrow, hit whatever direction arrow and find the "Shades Of Doom".
Preview images shown are taken with max settings, 1440p resolution + Absolute HD mod made by Cverdzislav and D3HDP - DooM 3 Essential HD Pack made by H3llBaron.
I really recommend one or both of these mods together with this preset but they are not required:
* D3HDP - DooM 3 Essential HD Pack
* Absolute HD mod
Unstable/crashes
Doom 3 can become unstable with HD mods and reshade or a combination of the two. I do not experience any issues my self but I have been informed that such issues can occur. Keep that in mind before you download.

Performance Friendly from my own testing I could bare distinguish any performance impact, maybe a few ms in rendering time. Your experience may vary depending on hardware.
