Fading Embers aims to enhance the musical experience of Dark Souls 3 - Cinders. Ten tracks have been updated, most of which are cut music content from Dark Souls 3, with others being from other entries in the Souls series.

The main goal of Fading is to augment the musical experience of Cinders by Xylozi. This mod doesn't aim to overhaul the entirety of the Dark Souls 3 soundtrack, but rather to make changes as to fit the forlorn mood of Dark Souls 3.
While this experience is intended for Cinders, Fading Embers is a standalone mod and can be used with the original game.
The track list is posted at the bottom of this page, but beware of Cinders Spoilers, as some tracks have been changed to suit the modifications done by Cinders. Read at your own risk!

If using Mod Engine, place the `sound` folder in your installed mod folder. Please note, Fading Embers may not be compatible with other music mods. To install all the files for this mod, please override existing files. Otherwise, you may keep/overwrite files to your preference.
For installing with Cinders, place the `sound` folder in your `Cinders` folder.

While suggestions are always welcome, please keep in mind phase transitions (as many bosses have them) may make specific requests more difficult than others. Additionally, to keep in the spirit of the game, generally tracks from the Souls series will be considered, although music from Bloodborne may also be considered.

Fading Embers is intended to be compatible with Cinders. However, the mod is generally compatible with all mods that don't edit the music files. For most of the time, SFX mods should be compatible also.
Although it will generally be a case-by-case basis, not all music mods will be compatible with one another. Choose files from various mods based on your preference to make for your best experience!
