July 28: OF (right hamstring strain) begins rehab assignment with Triple-A Toledo
Meadows received his first game action since July 7 with some rehab work for the Mud Hens. He went 0-for-2 with two walks and a run scored as a designated hitter on Sunday in Toledo, and is expected to play the outfield Tuesday and Wednesday when the Hens hit the road for Indianapolis. The Tigers will re-evaluate him from there, but given the timetable and the way he was running the bases in workouts, he could be back in center field at Comerica Park for next weekend’s series against the Royals.

July 26: OF placed on 10-day IL; INF/OF recalled from Triple-A Toledo
Greene, who returned to the Tigers' lineup as the DH over the past two games after getting a day off Tuesday, was placed on the injured list with a right hamstring strain. He started 94 of Detroit’s 97 games before the break, entered two of the other three as a reserve and played the full game in 91 of them. He has played a good amount in center field lately, and he played three games on artificial turf last week between the All-Star Game in Texas and two games in Toronto.

Wednesday marked Greene’s 100th game played this season, the most in a season in his Major League career. His only other season with that many games played was 2021, when he played 124 games between Double-A Erie and Triple-A Toledo.

Vilade returns for his third stint with the team this season. In nine games this year, he has one homer and four RBIs.
