Upgrades to every key area of the gameplay design resulting in a near-flawless title. A real showpiece and a stellar example of what the PS2 is capable of in the hands of talented developers.
Has it where it counts - fast action and plenty of it. Highly polished and loads of fun, if you want an example of platforming paradise, Insomniac has delivered.

Após o sucesso de ratchet and clank 1 em 2002, em 2003 lançaram esse jogo, com uma continuação na história, esse jogo contém a mesma jogabilidade do jogo anterior só que muito melhorada, consertaram a câmera do jogo, adicionaram mais armas e novos sistemas de níveis, tiveram mais coisas para fazer e mais desafios.Nesse jogo a personalidadede ratchet foi mudada para melhor. Para min esse é o terceiro melhor jogo da franquia e pelas notas o segundo melhor.

The controls, the learning curve, the difficulty, and the story all make this game possible to be enjoyed by gamers of almost any age without feeling overwhelmed or underwhelmed. I seriously can't say enough good things about this game.
The level design is brilliant, the weapons combat is a freakin' blast, the subtle tweaks really do change everything, and the characters are more appealing than the last go-round. [Dec 2003, p.218]
There's a lot to do here. Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando is perched weirdly on the boundary between 3D platformer and third-person shooter; it's not entirely comfortable, but it's still a lot of fun.
When you throw in the graphics, the jokes and the ever-changing landscapes, you're left with something that's impossible to dislike.
The key word here is definitely 'more'; more weapons, more gadgets, more planets and plenty more instances where the platform-based exploration takes a back seat in favour of what can only be described as mini-games that try desperately to integrate themselves into the rest of the game. while the gameplay is refined, some major aspects of the game were worsened. ratchet feels better to control, the weapons feel great and also mostly useful. progression feels meaningful and rewarding. yet towards the last third of the game, enemies spawn at a much higher rate, turn into bullet sponges, making the whole experience feel tedious and unfair. the boss battles are mostly lacking too: either too long, too bulllet spongy or just not fun at all. in my opinion, this one is a step down from the first one, despite doing so many things right

i remember this game fondly as a kid, but sadly it doesn't hold up that well. the controls are super clunky, and far more refined in the 3rd game as well as deadlocked.

i persoanlly didnt like this ratchet and clank im going oer pros and con. There are some stuff i liked and alot i didnt like . cons first
cons
1. way too much backtracking (going back to previous planets for progression missions)
2. annoying puzzles ( electrical circuits)
3. annoying camera and aiming mechanics
4. some terrible mini mission segments ( ship vs hover turrets that will keep on respawning)
5 forgetable crap story ( terrible edition / new characters)
6. bullet sponge bosses
7. weapons XP progression/ upgrade is slow
8. have to enter to menu to switch btw gadgets over instead of their bieng a 2nd or third investory wheel.
9. fetch questing areas
