With natural disasters becoming more intense and frequent due to climate change, the LY Corporation Group works to prevent and mitigate disasters through its services in cooperation with local governments and related organizations, and also directs its efforts into post-disaster reconstruction support. The LY Corporation Group also expands and enhances recycling-oriented services that contribute to the realization of a sustainable society.

Corporate Governance

Corporate governance is essential to preserving the trust the public has placed in us as a company. To that end, the LY Corporation Group is actively working to strengthen corporate governance by such means as establishing internal control systems, enhancing audit functions, and improving business processes.

Enterprise Risk Management (ERM)

The LY Corporation Group strives to reduce risk by conducting risk management activities under four pillars: ERM (Enterprise Risk Management), identification of the occurrence of incidents, risk intelligence activities, and the raising of risk management awareness throughout the Group.

Compliance

The LY Corporation Group stipulates strict adherence to and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, commercial practices, and social ethics, and sets forth a Code of Conduct as a guideline to its activities. To realize these guidelines, the LY Corporation Group works to promote the adoption of these rules among all officers and employees of the Group, to enhance the compliance system and to improve the compliance mindset.

Responsible Business Operation

The LY Corporation Group actively conducts measures to prevent corruptions such as bribery, as well as measures to prevent money laundering.

Fortifying Internal Control

The Board of Directors of LY Corporation has resolved on the "systems for ensuring the properness of business activities" as stipulated in the Companies Act, established this internal control system in its Basic Policy for Internal Control, and conducts SOX assessments in line with the internal control report system required by the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act.
