While it’d be our pleasure to help bring your dream kitchen to life, you don’t have to purchase installation with us to utilize our design service. We want to help you feel confident in your product selection here at Lowe’s.

The cost varies depending on several factors, including chosen cabinet manufacturer, door style, paint or stain, and more. Labor costs also vary by market.

Take measurements of your project space. Providing your designer with these measurements via email prior to your initial online video meeting will allow for a quicker design process. Need help measuring your space? Use our handy measure guide to assist.

Consider thinking through these questions before your free online consultation:

• What’s your budget?
• Do you have a timeline or deadline (e.g., are you moving soon or hosting family for a celebration)?
• What are your style preferences? 
• What are your overall project goals?
• Do you want Lowe’s to take care of the installation for you?

If possible, email the room measurements to your designer prior to your first meeting. This will give them time to create an initial design for your review during your meeting. 

During your first online video meeting with a designer, you’ll discuss your project needs and review color palettes, cabinet door styles, etc.

Choosing Lowe’s installation requires the purchase of a detail for an installer to come out to measure your space. Once the detail is complete, the designer will make revisions and adjustments to the design based on the installer’s measurements. You’ll have another video conference with your designer to discuss the changes.

You’ll then have a final online design presentation, which includes reviewing the completed design, pricing and payment options.

Projects Lowe’s can’t complete during your installation include, but aren’t limited to, moving plumbing, electrical work and full remodels. Other installations will need to be purchased separately with the product.

Custom cabinet lead times vary anywhere from 7 to 16 weeks. In-stock cabinet lead times vary from immediately available to 4 weeks. Countertop production and installation ranges from 21 to 45 days.

Lowe’s works with top independent installers from your local community who are licensed, insured and background-checked. We also provide a one-year labor warranty.
