One of my favorite desserts is a Pineapple Upside Down Cake and now you can skip the baking and make a cocktail version. With a pineapple juice base, this delicious drink is one of my new favorites!
When it comes to cocktails, this one definitely takes the cake! I’m excited to add this drink to my list of cake cocktail recipes such as this Birthday Cake Martini.
How to Make a Pineapple Upside Down Cake Cocktail
All. you need is cake flavored vodka with pineapple juice and a splash grenadine. Garnish with maraschino cherry and you’ve got one of the best drinks ever!
What you’ll need
- Crushed ice – Any ice will do, but crushed ice is always the best.
- Grenadine syrup – This simple syrup is made from fresh pomegranate juice reduced with sugar and it’s what gives this drink the pretty red cherry coloring.
- Cake vodka – Vodka with hints of vanilla cake is a must have for this recipe.
- Pineapple juice – Gives you the taste of fresh pineapples.
- Maraschino cherries – Perfect for garnish
INSTRUCTIONS
- Fill a tall glass with ice
- Add a splash of Grenadine
- Add vodka
- Fill glass with more ice
- Gently pour pineapple juice over ice.
- Top with a cherry and add a straw.
- Serve immediately before colors blend.
