Good morning everyone and welcome to our 42nd edition of our weekly newsletter. This week we published a MJRC original study that looks into EU funding in the European media and journalism and celebrated the work of some of our experts. Let's revisit these accomplishments!
- Marta Rodríguez Castro participated in the 9th congress of the Asociacion Espanola de Investigacion de la Communicacion (#AE-#IC) hosted by Universidad de Murcia and while there was interviewed by Onda Regional de Murcia.
- Courtney Radsch, PhD wrote a brief on AI and journalism for Center for Journalism and Liberty .
- Our center published a new study authored by our director, Marius Dragomir , and researcher Nikolas Schäfer , mapping the funding that the EU spends in Europe’s media and journalism.
- Andrei Richter drafted the Federal Law on Freedom of Information and Expression in a comprehensive 400-page plan that outlines the path to democracy, peace, and prosperity for Russia in the post-Putin era.
- Our center is dedicated to quality research in sustainable independent journalism. This week, we highlight our State Media Monitor project which birthed a study that looked into the independence of state and public media.
