Good morning! Welcome to the latest edition of our weekly recap. This week, we celebrated several industry engagements and invite you to revisit these highlights. Additionally, we offer some weekly reading suggestions from our research projects.

  • Our director, Marius Dragomir discussed the state of independent media in Hungary with RTE in an article that delves into the complexities of media freedom in the country.

  • Our expert, Jonáš Syrovátka , wrote a new article published by the Europe Asia-Studies journal in which he examines Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin's views on the current political regime, considering his policy agenda, technocratic background, and ideological stance within the Russian elite.

  • Marius Dragomir contributed a chapter on the influence of state and public media on disinformation in a new publication titled "El impacto de la desinformación en el ámbito local".

  • This week we released a new study ""Freedom of Expression in Europe", a collection of six studies by MJRC experts. The study serves as a valuable resource for understanding key trends in European media policy and regulation.
