Impressed with Databricks Summit - Again...
This year’s DAIS was as impressive as ever and confirms that Databricks continues to innovate and lead in the Data + AI space. I was honored to be invited to join the Databricks Partner Product Advisory Board which is a collection of experts in a roundtable format to guide and advise the Databricks product leaders.
Here are the highlights of the week from both the Summit and the Advisory Board:
- Databricks is doubling down on their Data Intelligence Platform with extra features, functionality, and AI driving additional value additional throughout the platform.
- The Databricks Intelligence Platform continues to grow with the addition of Databricks LakeView and AI/BI.
- Databricks is investing in AI to make all products/services more valuable and easier to use. Databricks is using AI to help assist in the most complex tasks to allow users to focus on getting work done faster. Examples include
- Serverless with auto optimization
- Predictive cluster optimizations
- AI dashboards via AI/BI
- AI powered data governance via Lakehouse Monitoring
