How will you create a Diverse and Inclusive Culture?

Today is International Women's Day, and as I reflected on what it means for me, I was inspired by some of the extraordinary leaders whom I have had a chance to work with and learn from.

Early in my career, I was very fortunate to work for Adaire Fox-Martin during my time at Oracle. I learned how professionalism and pragmatism are critical elements in leading a team. As a fantastic boss, Adaire taught me that to lead a team is a privilege and creating a culture where everyone feels valued and contributing is the most critical factor in success.

More recently, I was lucky enough to work closely with Susan St Ledger. SSL taught me that compassion and driving transformation while staying focused on execution is possible. SSL could bring an incredible level of personal empathy while clearly setting excellence as a standard - a lesson that will stay with me.

In addition to these brilliant leaders, I have had the chance, over the years, to be part of some fantastic teams! In a successful team, there is always a common theme of openness in embracing diversity and creating inclusive environments that unlock the best potential of all the team members. These have been the most satisfying times in my career.

On my part, I pledge to carry these learnings forward and continue to strive to lead with compassion and create a world-class team where each member feels valued, with equal opportunities towards both contributions and success.
