The Entrepreneur’s Odyssey

I launched Virgin Hyperloop seven years ago with a vision of creating a more sustainable mass mobility system. From personal experience, I can tell you that entrepreneurial journey is a challenging one. Some days, it seems like for every step forward, you’ve taken three steps back.

Despite the setbacks, more than 4 million new business launched in 2020. Maybe one of those new ventures is yours, or maybe you’re looking to start something new this year.

Wherever you are on your entrepreneurial odyssey, I applaud you for your vision and tenacity.

One thing that helped me along the way was to seek and build a tribe. Your tribe consists of people who believe in your vision, who are committed to seeing it come to fruition, and who can lift you up when you feel you can’t take another step forward.

Another tip is to take advantage of every opportunity to learn and ask questions of those who’ve gone before you. Sometimes, all it takes to get you over a roadblock is an objective point of view.

Editor’s Note:

Virgin Hyperloop is excited to launch Giegel’s Garage, your chance to spend 30 minutes virtually with our co-founder and CEO, Josh Giegel. You’ll have an opportunity to ask questions about being an entrepreneur, and to bounce ideas around.

To participate in #GiegelsGarage, start by following Josh Giegel on social media. Reply to @jgiegel with your idea on Twitter or post on LinkedIn tagging Josh and you may be chosen to spend 30 minutes with him.
