Pride Alliance leader Kelsey Stobbs shares a Day in the Life

Kelsey Stobbs, CPhT , an administrative assistant at Walgreens area office in Louisville, Kentucky, joined Walgreens nearly seven years ago in a part-time role while enrolled in college. Upon graduation, Stobbs moved into a full-time position within the pharmacy, eventually joining a COVID testing site team during the pandemic. While in the stores, Stobbs also met her mentor Jill Harrelson, PharmD, MBA who has been a strong supporter of Stobbs’ career growth.

In a team member feature, Stobbs shares what a typical “Day in the Life” is for her, where she supports leaders overseeing 160 stores in Kentucky and southern Indiana. Her tasks include everything from coordinating immunization classes, troubleshooting needs for store team members, pulling data and more.

In 2021, Stobbs joined Pride Alliance, a Walgreens business resource group (BRG) dedicated to building community and safe resources and practices for LGBTQ+ team members. Today, she serves in a leadership role with the BRG. “Being inspired by Pride Alliance to embrace myself also made me want to get involved more with the group and inspire others. After going to my first Pride festival and realizing how impactful it was to see companies and staples of the neighborhood celebrating the LGBTQ+ community, I started taking the lead to ensure Walgreens had a presence at Pride festivals around Kentucky,” shared Stobbs.
