Day 187 - Half a year in!

Lucy’s a trooper. Lots of big feelings lately. Being 3 is tough. But she’s still thoroughly enjoying setting her picks each day. Only one of her picks in the last two weeks was something other than a family member; She really loves us all and it warms our hearts. She still hasn’t reminded me on a day I’ve forgotten (I still always have to probe her for her pick), but I’m so super looking forward to the day she reminds me. We’ll get there. I’m patient.

Stock of the month: Global X Funds Global X Cybersecurity Fund (BUG). The first time Lucy picked…I think it was “ladybug,” I struggled for quite a while. I searched and searched for a good stock that made sense. And then I found BUG. It was a match made to be. Has a 6% return since she picked; Not too shabby if you ask me.

           As mentioned in the last update, Lucy’s now rockin’ it in the dividend department. Still not enough for a candy bar, but she’s on a good trajectory. She passed another big milestone lately as well: She now owns at least 1 full share of two named stocks! So proud of her.

           The app is in full-blown development mode now which is exciting. I’ve been managing UI view hierarchies, mapping out data flows, setting up permissions, sketching out animations while I finish up the masterclass…there’s a lot going on. I’m very, super excited to release the first app in Beta on the Apple App store, and even more excited to start an Android app development MasterClass…probably mid-next month so that I can hopefully get that out on the Google Play Store in Beta before the year’s end.
