I don’t believe that “Executive” and “Leader” is the same thing but in most cases, being a good Executive requires being a great” Leader”. This article by Vince Molinaro is the best I’ve read that captures so well what’s required in order to be both, a great Executive who’s also a great Leader: https://lnkd.in/gAmybt9u The higher up you climb the corporate ladder, more often you are required to balance conflicting priorities and motives which challenges your priorities , your values and at the same time, test your resiliency. This is a great read and reaffirms for me what I always believed in – people are the most important asset in business. As a leader, if you look after your people, they will look after your clients and success will follows. #leadership

"One of the cornerstones of leadership is empathy, a quality that encompasses the understanding of your team members’ feelings, challenges, and viewpoints. When confronted with a team member’s problem, it’s crucial to prioritize comprehension of their situation and validation of their emotions, rather than immediately launching into resolution tactics."
