And that's a wrap for my first-semester teaching at USC! It's been a great opportunity to teach the UX Design portion of CTIN 391, User Design & User Research, and provide a boots-on-the-ground perspective on what skills are valuable for those going into UI/UX Fields. Ended the semester by attending the USC Expo, their end-of-the-year student showcase, where it was wonderful to see my MFA Mentee, Michael Wahba, project Egregore in its final form. Its evolution over the last year has been amazing to watch. You can wishlist it now on Steam! https://lnkd.in/gdsT7Rg8

Co-founder of Save The World With Art™️ | President Jams2blues Creations LLC | Internationally exhibited artist, musician, WORLD RECORD holder for the 25H. 15Min. Guitar solo, no breaks.
In the grand tapestry of my life, I, James Lee, stand at the intersection of art, music, and transformative change as the President and Co-Founder of Jams2blues Creations LLC. This journey is not just about creating; it's about igniting a global movement that intertwines creativity with compassion and philanthropy. My palette spans fine art, music, animation, poetry, and the avant-garde world of NFTs, honed over two decades of relentless pursuit of mastery and innovation. My story is one of resilience, where neurodiversity, including my experiences with Tourette's Syndrome and brain injury, is not a hurdle but a superpower that fuels my creative expression. Art therapy has been my sanctuary, a realm where I've found solace and strength, and I'm passionate about sharing this healing power with the world. Above all, my role as a father is my proudest and most sacred commitment. It shapes every chord I play, every stroke I paint, and every word I write. It's the lens through which I view my mission to "Save The World With Art™" — not just as a mantra but as a living, breathing legacy I wish to leave for future generations, a testament to the power of love, creativity, and responsibility. Before embarking on this artistic odyssey, I navigated the complex worlds of Network Administration and Engineering. With over 15 years of experience working on IBM Mainframes, Cisco, SD-WAN, and JavaScript programming, I've melded the precision of technology with the fluidity of art. My tenure as an adjunct college professor teaching network support administration was a chapter where I honed my ability to translate complex concepts into accessible knowledge, a skill that now enriches my creative endeavors. This transition from a seasoned network engineer to a full-time artist and musician was not just a career shift but an evolutionary transformation. It was a leap of faith into the unknown, driven by an unyielding belief in the power of art to change lives, heal wounds, and restore balance to our world. I invite you to join me and Anna in this crusade, where every piece of art and every melody is a call to action — to build a more empathetic, empowered, and sustainable world. Together, let's embark on this journey where art is not merely observed but experienced, a force that not only reflects our realities but also has the power to reshape them.

What is the difference between "Icons" and "Symbols"? While these terms share similarities in their visual representation, they serve different purposes and convey distinct meanings. - Icons: are simplified representations of specific objects or actions, aiming for clarity and ease of recognition. They are commonly used in user interfaces to enhance usability and provide intuitive navigation. 🔎 > Magnifying glass. - Symbols: are abstract representations that convey deeper meanings, often rooted in cultural contexts. They evoke emotions, communicate values, and establish associations. 🔎 > Searching. Here is an example that will make a lasting impression on your mind, one that you won't easily forget.

There's a fun in-class project, too. It's very affordable and I pack a lot in. More info at the link below! #userexperiencedesign #ux #design #interactiondesign #informationarchitecture

Hi! Just wanted to share this project with the help of Allison Hao (UI Designer) and Ava L. (UX Designer). Here is a fan-made recreation of the Lobby and Game Mode Screen from the game Omega Strikers. It was a lot of fun learning new tricks with shaders and Implementation of UI assets in Unreal Engine 5.
