"Place making doesn't have to mean flattening something and starting again." An excellent quote in favour of a built environment concept that fascinates me: The choice to retain or demolish, and all the 'holistic' arguments for and against... Just about anyone in the AEC industry these days should know what I mean. Give this recent Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) podcast episode a shot. Particularly relevant to some recent project workshops I'm aware of! Stephen, Angela, I know you'll love this conversation.
