Earlier this week, while going home from Winston-Salem after my internship, I decided to stop by the Hendrick Motorsports museum for the first time in a while. I decided I wanted to make a quick post about seeing the Garage 56 car in person, since I’ve already posted my thoughts about a lot of big stories in #NASCAR this year. As someone who’s very serious about growth of the sport, this was perhaps the most creative and exciting thing I’ve seen the sport pull off this year. This car was run in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June in the Garage 56 slot, an opening for a car to race other than the traditional race classes, often with an experimental or innovative entry. Many were surprised when this entry was announced nearly a a year ago, because even if NASCAR has run more road courses in the last decade than ever before, the cars were still built for ovals first. Despite the doubts, however, NASCAR was able to shatter the stereotype that they could only run circles after setting qualifying times so quick, they modified the rule that the Garage 56 car would start at the back of the starting grid. With the talent of seven time NASCAR champion Jimmie Johnson, 2009 F1 champion Jenson Button, and former Le Mans winner Mike Rockenfeller, the car finished 39th in the race and ran as high as 19th, and likely would have finished in the top half of the field if it wasn’t for an internal issue that took time to fix in the last quarter of the race. The car was a fan favorite with the European crowd, and instantly brought more international respect to NASCAR than we’ve seen in a long time. I’ve been a long proponent of innovation in the sport’s business and marketing fields, but the Garage 56 entry provided a unique intersection between innovating the sport’s marketing activities and their technology and competition. It was a very bold move, but that’s what the sport has done best in recent years, and the fruits of their labor have continually emerged, as the sport gets re introduced to major U.S. markets. This, however, was perhaps their biggest step ever on the international stage. The NextGen car has already been one international stars want to drive, with this weekend’s Cup Series race at Indianapolis having a record tying six foreign born drivers entered, including the afformentioned Button and Rockenfeller, as well as Chicago street course winner Shane Van Gisbergen, who I wrote about last month. As someone following the sport’s business efforts for years as I pursue a career in Motorsports, I’m excited to see the sport continue to evolve, and seeing one of the biggest manifestations of it on display was an honor as both a race fan and a professional. This year’s #TourDeFrance is full of stories of #Resilience, #Determination, and what you can achieve when aiming for the #Stars (or the highest mountain peaks). 🚴🏿♂️ 🌟 #JonasVinegaard has already won the #TdF twice in the overall classification. After a devastating crash earlier this year, with many #BrokenBones and a #Pneumothorax, it was unclear if he could start this year or even race a bike at all. He started. And said: „Everything from now on is a bonus.“  After winning stage 11 on a mountain peak, overwhelmed and in tears, he’s still in the race to win the overall classification. 👉🏻 With #Modesty, we can relevate #Fixation and be #Grateful for what we already have in #Life. And with #Determination, we achieve the #Unbelievable. 🌟 #MarkCavendish broke the record for the most stage wins overall—with 39 years. He tried to break the over 50-year-old record of the former marvellous #EddyMerckx last year but crashed out with a broken collar bone. Struggling with #Depression already earlier in his #Career, he was devastated. People said this was his last chance and he would not be able to return. His #Team had other thoughts. He came back, and the whole team was shaped to reach just one goal: break the record for the most #TdF stage wins. Everybody was focused on this single goal, from the #CEO to the riders and the staff. On stage 5 they achieve their goal. The sprinter icon outraced his competitors and broke the #Record. It was moving to see all the riders from all the teams standing in line to hug and congratulate him. 👉🏻 With #TeamSpirit, we can achieve what nobody reached before and can make a lasting impact. And finally, as a single person, we’re only as #Strong as our #Team. 🌟 #BiniamGirmay from #Eritrea is the first black African rider to win a stage at the #TdF and will most likely win (yes, I’m biased) the green jersey for the sprinter’s classification. For a sport which white people dominated for ages, this probably is the biggest story.   I can only imagine what level of #Perseverance he would have needed to become a professional bike rider and now aim for one of the most prestigious titles in cycling. It was even-opening to see his team, consisting of (white) people from across Europe and South Africa, throwing in all they had on the road to get him into a position to win races. 👉🏻 #Inclusion requires the systemically dominant group to invite minorities actively, give them #Space, and #Celebrate their successes equally to their own. While all of this is from the world of #Sports, I believe there’s a lot to learn from this for our #Career and #Personal life. There’s no single path to reaching our #Goals, and #Success is individual. DPR Motorsport - Shortlisted finalist in the Reigate & Banstead Business Awards 2023 DPR Motorsport has made the final shortlist for two categories in this demanding local competition. It is an outstanding achievement to be selected as a finalist for one category. All at DPR Motorsport are extremely proud, that in our case, we have been selected for two categories – The Business Support Grant Award and the Sustainable Business of the Year. The Reigate & Banstead Awards celebrate the very best organisations and individuals from the local area with ten award categories to highlight success across a range of business criteria. This is now the third year for these awards and with an increasing number of entries, competition is at an all-time high. David Rowe, Engineering Director, commented: When we moved our business to Redhill some six years ago, whilst some benefits were recognisable up-front, during our time on the Holmethorpe Industrial Estate we have come to fully appreciate the benefits from a great location, a local business eco-system second to none and a pool of local youngsters keen to progress into engineering through the apprenticeship route.   The original Business Grant Award enabled us to invest in a range of tools and equipment to kick-start their progress. Graduates from our tailored engineering apprenticeship pathway will have gained both the practical and academic skills required at the highest levels of UK Motorsport. We take pride that our first apprentice, who joined McLaren some years ago, is now a key member of their Formula One race team supporting the Lando Norris car. Engineering excellence is at the front and centre of everything we do. It was no contradiction to adopt sustainability as core to our workplace approach. On our initial move to Redhill, we up-cycled rather than demolished what was a run-down 1950’s workshop. The renovation focused on taking full advantage of energy saving measures such as adding modern levels of insulation to the workshop together with investing in solar PV to help transition away from fossil fuels for heat and light. Reaching two of the final shortlists for the 2023 awards is an unexpected and therefore an all-the-more appreciated recognition of our work to grow the business. Key to this growth has been developing our young staff and improving the efficiency of our operational processes. Being able to gain numerous podium and championship wins in Caterham Motorsport events at the top UK and European motorsport race circuits has no doubt been a strong motivator to all concerned! #caterhammotorsport #RBBA23 #statementofexcellence

Now, it's time to bring to light the hidden truth of Meltems task variations and delve deeply into her extraordinary project assignment mission: 1. Alongside a trio of colleagues, she established an all-encompassing 'IT' infrastructure at the legendary Nürburgring, ensuring that the motorsports team had seamless access to collect and transmit essential vehicle data. 🏎️🔧 2. Meltem orchestrated a remarkable "IT" event alongside with our Motorsport Business Relations team and one of our valued partners. The event was focusing on security topics which showcasing her skills in collaboration and innovation. 🌐🤝 3.
