'A complaining customer is always your well-wisher' These were the lines of my reporting manager during my internship which struck chord with me since then. As a Marketing student, I always have been inquisitive about different industries. Recently automotives especially Heavy Duty Commercial vehicles is something which caught my attention. I believe in the philosophy: 'To understand the market, one needs to live in the market'. To live in the market means to constantly engage with the stakeholders of that market in a very raw and unfiltered way. Sometimes a plate of Daal Baati on a highway side dhaba topped up with a little conversation with a driver sitting besides you can give you first-hand insights on commercial vehicles. Product innovations brew in and around the stakeholders of a product and not in the corporate offices.
