#HRCAnniversary Since the establishment of our nation’s Army in 1775, its leaders recognized the need for organization and personnel management. These concepts have gone through drastic changes and improvements since the American Revolution and in 1973, the predecessor of U.S. Army Human Resources Command – the U.S. Army Military Personnel Center, or MILPERCEN – opened as the home of Army personnel operations. Over the next three decades, several Army Directorates which all focused on various aspects of personnel management consolidated within MILPERCEN, leading to the formation of U.S. Army Human Resources Command in 2003. This year, #USArmyHRC celebrates its 50th anniversary as the Army’s home of personnel operations and its 20th anniversary as a command. Today, HRC continues to evolve in its efforts to best serve our valued customers – Soldiers, units, Families, veterans and retirees – in ways that have a transformative impact on their careers and Family life, while creating a positive and lifelong connection to our Army. #SoldiersFirst #MakingADifference #WeAreHRC #USArmy #ArmyMissionCritical #VitalHRC

I’m very pleased to share with you that Kairos Logistics Group is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business as certified by the U.S. Small Business Administration By law, the Federal Government mandates that 3% of all Federal contracts are awarded to SDVOSB. In 2020 4.28% of all Federal contracts were awarded to Service Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses. If you're a company working with Federal or State Governments, many contracts stipulate meeting a small business participation goal- particularly with a protected class such as Service Disabled veterans. There are tons of other tangible benefits of partnering with Veteran Owned Businesses, but one is just to engage the brave men and women who volunteered to put their lives on the line for our country. #veterans #veteranownedbusiness #logisticssolutions #supplychainmanagement #supplychainsolutions 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne) - US Army 1st Special Forces Command (Airborne) - US Army USSOCOM US Army U.S. Small Business Administration National Small Business Association

The Green Beret Foundation (GBF) launched the Pineland Initiative on November 10, 2021. This new campaign focuses on expanding the Foundation’s scope of services to include pre-9/11 U.S. Army Special Forces soldiers and their families. The Pineland Initiative, which launched in 2022, reflects a 3-year phased approach to growth and expansion of existing programs and services to accommodate the needs of the pre-9/11 Green Beret population. One key aspect of this expansion is the welcoming of additional Veteran Service Officers (VSOs) onboard GBF staff to meet the anticipated greater need for assistance with the preparation and prosecution of Veterans Affairs benefits and disability claims. These new VSOs will bring with them the added benefit of providing a Foundation presence geographically located at each of the five Active Duty Special Forces Groups, and two National Guard Special Forces Groups, located around the country. The name “Pineland” pays tribute to the shared legacy of Green Berets, past and present. This initiative is well-timed, as the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the U.S. Army Special Forces will be commemorated this coming June 19th. With Pineland being the first initiative in GBF’s history to support Green Berets of all generations, there’s an opportunity to honor those that laid the groundwork to make the Green Berets the world’s premier, elite special operations force. The GBF is asking that those wishing to support the Pineland Initiative campaign consider making a commitment of support to the Foundation at the amount of just a $12 monthly recurring contribution. #greenberet #specialforces #militaryfamilies #veteransupport #Pineland #greenberetfoundation
The Pineland Initiative of the Green Beret Foundation extended access to our comprehensive programs and services to all generations of U.S. Army Special Forces soldiers and their families. Today is launch day for Army 250. This is a citizen-led project I started to encourage communities, institutions, and individual Americans to engage with the story of the U.S. Army as we approach its 250th birthday in 2025. Every week we'll be sharing a newsletter that lifts up different dimensions in how the Army has influenced American life and society. This will include military campaigns and stories of American soldiers throughout our history, but it will also look at the connections between the Army and facets of American life seemingly far removed from the battlefield: food, fashion, music, literature, religion, business, civil society, and so many other domains have Army stories. This makes the Army's story relevant and personal for all Americans, irrespective of one's direct connection to the service. You can access the newsletter here: https://lnkd.in/eTG56_xG This effort is intended to complement and support the incredible initiatives underway led by the US Army, the National Museum of the US Army, the Association of the United States Army - AUSA, and the US Army Center of Military History, among other institutions. Please share with anyone you think would be interested in this, and if you'd like to contribute to this project, please send me a message! #army250 #us250 #army #veterans #

History in 60 Seconds: What do you know about Roman Legions? The Roman legion was the backbone of the powerful Roman army for centuries. Here's a breakdown of some key points: 1) Elite Infantry: For most of the Roman Empire's history, legions were the elite heavy infantry of the Roman army. 2) Citizen Soldiers: Early legions were composed entirely of Roman citizens. After reforms by Marius in 107 BC, citizenship wasn't a requirement, but it remained a prestigious role. 3) Size and Organization: The size of legions varied over time, but typically consisted of around 5,200 men during the height of the Empire. They were structured into smaller units called cohorts, centuries, and contubernia. For comparison, a US Army brigade consists of a few battalions and anywhere from 3,000 to 5,000 soldiers. A colonel is generally in command. Video: Historic Vids
