It's been an exciting whirlwind week launching my wine brand in the US 🍷✨🥳 After being exclusively available in Japan, the wines have come back to California and are now available here! I couldn't have dreamed of a better place to hold my launch dinner last week than SingleThread Farms in Healdsburg CA, run by Chef Kyle Connaughton, Katina, and their world class team. The 3 Michelin star restaurant is my favorite on the planet and they prepared an incredible tasting menu to complement 8 of my pinot noirs, from current releases to special library selections. I'm thrilled to have many of those bottles on their Grand List, curated by superstar sommelier and wine director, Chris McFall. What a magical evening, over 10 years in the making! I'm thrilled to be featured in the new issue of Forbes Japan! They talk about my childhood love of Japanese culture, along with Shalini Sekhar's pinot noir winemaking style, which we craft to be elegant enough for Japanese cuisine. We ferment and barrel each clone from each vineyard individually, then go thru a meticulous blind tasting and blending process, getting additional input from sommeliers and chefs before making our final wines.
