Metaverse Startup Competition 2023: Unleashing XR Potential Egypt University of Informatics (EUI), in collaboration with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), is organizing “XR for Good: Metaverse Startup Competition 2023”, in partnership with Meta, the American University in Cairo (AUC), Metaverse Academy, and Simplon.co. Held from August 21 to September 14, the competition will be launched in a webinar on August 21, followed by a “discovery” session exploring immersive technologies. Metaverse Startup Competition is open to startups that use immersive technologies and metaverse solutions in their business models across various industries to align with one or more of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).   “XR for Good” represents a journey to discover the vast potential of extended reality (XR) and explore the high-impact use cases it offers. HTC is sooooooo good for the industry. I love them. They've been fighting the battle for a decade. They surveyed 400 manufacturing professionals about AR/VR. + Half of the respondents already use XR (177 versus 179 who do not). + XR has achieved clear returns on investment (ROI) for 75% of respondents, with benefits that include reduced material waste, time savings, and cost savings. + Of the 179 respondents who do not use XR, 59% intend to start using it within the next five years. + Overall, 74% of the 400 have intentions to integrate XR within the next decade AR/VR has already changed manufacturing, there are soooo sooooo SOOOO many great startups working in this space.
