🌐 Last week, following the attack on Israel on October 7, I had the privilege of participating in a unique and impactful awareness hackathon, "Hasbara-Tech": https://lnkd.in/dZfGwRvK. Over 48 intensive hours, our focus was on developing tools to support the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in its crucial information efforts during the war. The hackathon was special; participants were urged to leverage connections, engage external experts remotely, arrive with pre-existing solutions, and collaborate across different groups. 🤝 The reason? No winners in this hackathon; just one collective goal: to contribute as effectively as possible to Israeli advocacy. At the event's onset, we assisted the "Commando Hasbara" team, an exceptional platform initiated by Boaz Deri and Arie Duvdevani. This platform, managing a community of over 12,000 Israelis actively sharing pro-Israel content globally. Explore their incredible product: https://lnkd.in/deBf3xRm Subsequently, I partnered with the "Check-Tok" group. The challenge? Address Ministry of Foreign Affairs videos on TikTok, being removed due to policy violations. Through our innovative platform, individuals can submit videos, receive feedback, and proactively make corrections—avoiding content blocks. Big thanks to the outstanding "Check-Tok" team— Sarit Tik, ILANIT LEVY, Tova Rottenstein, Keren Gotlib, and Yechiel Vizel. It was truly a collaborative effort, and I appreciate the opportunity to contribute to a meaningful cause. Special thanks to the organizers, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel, Municipality of Jerusalem, and JVP for making this impactful event possible. 🙏 #HasbaraTech #SchreiberLevTech #JVP #IsraelAdvocacy #InnovationForGood #HackathonImpact

How to summarize a one-day workshop in a few minutes? Graphic Recording is amazing and Kara Stonehouse is the best!
When an event is so touching, only a poetic summary will do! A breath-taking moment for me! 😂 Representing https://lnkd.in/dBvdzjz6 for the Inner Development Goals conference in Sweden. Thanks Åsa Jarskog for believing in the power of graphic recording and squeezing me in! The five seeds I am refering to at the beginning are the five symbols of the inner development goals. https://lnkd.in/ddE3RwDC A great contribution to the global conversation.

For some reason, a #EuRuKo2018 post popped up on my thread on X/Twitter. I was curious... wanted to find posts from 2018 to see the timeline of posts then and learn how the conference generally went, see what they did, maybe learn a few things to be a better host - stuff like that. I went to https://twitter.com/EuRuKo 's X profile and started scrolling. Heck, why not see the posts for 2023, 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019 as well, before I get to the Vienna hosted 2018 posts. I didn't expect it, but it was such a nice feeling to read all the posts. Scrolling through EuRuKo's thread is like reading the history of the #Ruby community. It's full of challenges, excitement, beautiful moments, friendship, new colorful ideas... It felt like standing on shoulders of all these giants from the community that carried the torch of #EuRuKo before with such success. I don't know of any other Ruby #conference out there that is like this. Do you? I mean... Every year you have different organizers, there's a different country (usually)... anyone can come up to the microphone and pitch their City/Country and host it next year. It's crazy... and the community makes it a beautiful experience at the end. Sorry if I'm spamming with EuRuKo topics lately, but I can't help having it on my mind. I promise to stop after the conference ends. I hope the work we do this year for EuRuKo is worthy of all these past editions 🤞 🐐 If you have a bit of time, I recommend scrolling through the EuRuKo feed on X. There's a lot of history to unpack. ... seeing all of these old visuals makes me want to go full GOAT mode on our visual identity 😅

In May, the 12th European Remembrance Symposium 'Commemorating and narrating freedom' held by European Network Remembrance and Solidarity. It was a pleasure to talk about the new version of the Hi-story Lessons platform with teaching resources. I have never coordinated an IT project before and it was a great adventure to create an online tool - from target group research to publication. We are still testing the website and introducing new resources however it already turns out that an IT project is all about the human touch <3 🌐 hi-storylessons.eu Hi-story Lessons is a project by European Network Remembrance and Solidarity developped by Fundacja Centrum Cyfrowe. fot. I just want to share a truly enriching experience I had recently. I was privileged to attend an Aztec naming ceremony organized by Tletl Papalotzin, graciously invited by my student, Emma (Toxtle). This event not only showcased the vibrant traditions of the Mexicah diaspora, whose lineage traverses numerous tribes, but also served as a powerful conduit for advocating the rights and preserving the identities of indigenous and all marginalized communities. Our engagement with these ceremonies highlights the ongoing need for recognition and justice, aligning closely with the narratives of colonization and displacement we explore in the classroom. These discussions are not just historical reviews; they are calls to action for equity, recognition, and respect across global and temporal landscapes. Let us remind ourselves of the harsh realities of colonization, remembering that history provides us lessons as we continue to see parallels in the challenges that various communities face today and might face in the future. Displacement, often a direct result of these systemic injustices, severely impacts economic mobility. In my work within the nonprofit sector focusing on economic mobility, we strive to address these challenges by creating pathways that not only aid immediate recovery but also empower long-term economic resilience and stability. This commitment to fostering economic mobility is intrinsically linked to our broader mission of promoting social justice and supporting the cultural and economic well-being of all communities, both locally and globally. #IndigenousRights #CulturalPreservation #SocialJustice #EconomicMobility
