The future of communication with AI
We're still far from being able to translate languages (sign language or others) in real time; however, the potential for it is unlimited
Understanding each other is the basis of any functioning group of individuals, regardless of its nature (work, social, political, societal, etc.)
Communication and empathy are key to human survival and easing these connecting flows will only empower us as a specie
The most interesting aspect of this will come when AI (or technology) will be able to transcribe/translate emotions.
What was the intention behind the speech? What did we really mean to say?
Too often than not, this is where lies the misunderstandings. Where we use the wrong words or interpret them wrongly, thinking people are trying to harm us, while this is not the case
And it's even more complex with cultural differences
Hopefully, AI and technology can bring us together through translating our thoughts and feelings...
...or at least help us communicating better.
