The future of AI dialogue systems is here! A team of visionaries from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Baidu Inc., and Tencent's Jarvis Research Center has unveiled COOPER, a cutting-edge dialogue framework that may set a new standard in the realm of complex dialogues. COOPER's innovative approach embraces a coordinated battalion of specialized agents, each a master of its domain, to tackle dialogues that demand a higher order of strategic thinking and sensitivity. COOPER doesn't just aim to respond; it seeks to understand, empathize, and guide. By segmenting complex dialogue goals into manageable aspects, each handled by an agent finely tuned to its subtleties, COOPER can navigate conversations with a finesse that mirrors human interaction more closely than ever before. This innovation heralds a new era where AI can partake in conversations that resonate on a deeply human level, offering not just answers but understanding, support, and guidance. COOPER isn't just a step forward in AI dialogue systems; it's a leap towards a future where technology can engage with the richness and depth of human communication, opening doors to possibilities that stretch the horizon of what AI can achieve in our daily lives. Ex. Co-Founder of nyonic • Board Member • Forbes 30u30 • Capital 40u40 • LinkedIn Top-Voice on AI • Building the European AI Ecosystem
Together with my Co-founder Dr. Feiyu Xu, I recently shared my vision for foundational models (and what we plan at nyonic) in an exclusive feature by WirtschaftsWoche. The current shortcomings of Large-Language Models continue to bother me, since they will massively effect the future on which we are building society and business: 🔊 Challenges with Smaller Languages In the digital landscape, conventional language models have been shaped by publicly available internet data, leading to an overemphasis on major languages like English, Spanish, or German. Unfortunately, this approach has inadvertently marginalized smaller languages, causing these models to fall short in meeting the intricate demands of our dynamic, multicultural, and multilingual business environment. 🏭 Addressing Industry Use Cases Furthermore, these models have primarily catered to the consumer market, limiting their relevance in sectors reliant on specialized domain knowledge. This deficiency has rendered existing language models unsuitable for various industrial applications. 💡 Unlocking Industry Potential Nevertheless, the potential of language models to unlock significant economic value within industries is nothing short of monumental. Their capabilities span critical domains, encompassing everything from customer support and impactful marketing content to sophisticated recommendation systems. Thank you to Michael Kroker for the interview. We even got labelled a "dream team within the german ai landscape"! 😀 ❤️ For those intrigued to read more, the comprehensive interview can be found in this weeks edition of the #Wirtschaftswoche.

Conocer or Saber? If you're like me, you've probably never thought about the fact that English only has one word for "knowing". But other languages, like Spanish, have two. In this blog, I argue that this linguistic difference opens up a powerful lens through which to explore the modern workplace and how organisations should approach AI: https://lnkd.in/e5XVkxmG
