Our community groups help to foster a work environment where everyone feels a sense of connection and belonging. To wrap up #PrideMonth celebrations across our 16 offices, we came together for a cycle class at a LGBTQ+ and locally-owned studio in Salt Lake City, played bingo in style in Austin, and raised a toast with a selection of wines from Equality Vines -- whose proceeds support various LGBTQ+ organizations -- at our HQ in San Mateo. Check out some highlights from all the events 🏳️🌈👇 #LifeAtVerkada #Culture

It's World Pride Month....and sorry adding a rainbow to your product is not Allyship - it's marketing. While it's wonderful to see rainbows everywhere, it's important to remember that true allyship goes beyond adding a rainbow to your product or website. Allyship means: ❤️ Listening and Learning: Taking the time to understand the experiences and challenges of the LGBTQ+ community. 💜 Supporting and Empowering: Amplifying LGBTQ+ voices, supporting LGBTQ+ businesses, and advocating for equal rights. 💙 Creating Inclusive Environments: Ensuring your workplace and products are genuinely inclusive and safe for everyone, not just during Pride Month but all year round. 💛 Taking Action: Donating to LGBTQ+ causes, participating in events, and pushing for policies that support the community. Adding a rainbow to your product can be a symbol of support, but without meaningful action, it risks being seen as just another marketing tactic. Let's make this World Pride Month not just about visible support, but about real, impactful allyship. Together, we can make a difference. #worlpridemonth #LGBTQplusallyship #inclusiveworkplace #realsupport

Hey Marketers, It's Pride Month, but ditch the rainbow washing! This year, focus on REAL connections with the LGBTQ+ community. Ditch the fluff, deliver value. Pride merch is cool, but what about creating a valuable resource for the LGBTQ+ community? Think Skittles- it shows you understand their needs. Partner with LGBTQ+ creators. Let the community own the narrative. Amplify their voices and showcase their talent. True advocacy is about empowering others, not just tooting your own horn. Pride is year-round. Don't be a one-month wonder. Integrate LGBTQ+ support into your brand like MAC Cosmetics. Real allyship is a long-term commitment. #PrideMonth #LGBTQ+Ally #AuthenticMarketing

Why Do Brands Only Show Their True Colors in June? 🌈 As it is Pride Month, I have been reflecting on the influx of rainbow logos and celebratory posts from brands across all industries. It is heartening to see so much support for the LGBTQ+ community, but it also raises an important question: Why do these expressions of solidarity often disappear once July begins? True allyship means standing by the LGBTQ+ community year-round, not just when it is trending. It is about ensuring inclusive policies, supporting LGBTQ+ employees and customers, and fostering a culture where everyone feels safe and valued every single day. So, as we bid farewell to another Pride Month, let's challenge ourselves and the brands we support to keep the spirit of Pride alive all year. 🌟 #PrideMonth #LGBTQAllyship #InclusiveWorkplaces #YearRoundSupport #TrueColors

October is LGBTQ+ History Month In 1994, Missouri high-school teacher, Rodney Wilson, founded LGBTQ+ History Month to celebrate and honor the history, contributions, and achievements of the LGBTQ+ community. While great strides have been made since LGBTQ+ History month was founded, there is still much more that can be done to foster a more inclusive world for the LGBTQ+ community especially in the financial industry. While these changes cannot be made overnight, they do require an intentional effort from all of us. Members of the LGBTQ+ community often face unique financial challenges, making personalize financial planning imperative to support these investors. To learn more about how you can better serve your LGBTQ+ clients and better understand their unique needs, sign up to become a CERTIFIED ADVISOR FOR WOMEN™ or CERTIFIED ADVISOR FOR NEXTGEN™ professional, and watch Willow’s CE Seminar, “Engaging Investors in the LGBTQ+ Community” moderated by Candice McGarvey, CFP® (available for one CE credit hour). #LGBTQHistoryMonth #FinancialPlanning #InclusiveFinancialPlanning

As we wrap up Pride Month on July 1st, it's important to remember that Pride is not confined to a single month—it's a year-round celebration of diversity, acceptance, and love. 🌈 Pride Month may end, but our commitment to creating inclusive spaces and supporting the LGBTQ+ community continues daily. Inclusion isn't a trend; it's a fundamental value that shapes our workplaces, communities, and lives. Let's carry the spirit of Pride with us throughout the year by: 1. Advocating for Inclusive Policies: Ensure that our workplaces are safe and welcoming for everyone, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. 2. Educating Ourselves and Others: Continue learning about the experiences and challenges faced by the LGBTQ+ community. Knowledge fosters understanding and empathy. 3. Supporting LGBTQ+ Initiatives: Whether through volunteering, donating, or participating in events, let's actively support organisations that uplift and empower the LGBTQ+ community. 4. Being Allies: Stand up against discrimination and be a voice for equality. Small actions can lead to significant changes. Pride is a celebration of how far we've come and a reminder of the work still ahead. Together, we can build a world where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued. #PrideEveryDay #InclusionMatters #LoveIsLove #YearRoundPride #LGBTQAlly

Pride is here! Are you at risk for rainbow washing?! Each year during Pride, companies modify their logo and merch with rainbow colours and images to demonstrate their support for the LGBTQ+ community. But are some of them just monetizing the rainbow? You might be familiar with green or blue washing, but another emerging issue in the ESG-universe to be aware of is rainbow washing—using rainbows in advertising or branding to indicate support for the LGBTQ+ community, but without providing that same support and advocacy for this marginalized group throughout the rest of the year. I had a chance to sit down with the legendary Rob Smith to discuss the critical importance of an organization’s governance of LGBTQ+ matters and what Boards can do to mitigate the risk of rainbow washing. Read more about their conversation and the issue of rainbow washing on the BIG blog: https://lnkd.in/gtwPr5Sf #PrideMonth #Governance #SustainableGovernance #Boards
