Our customers can now create Route53 Alias records for their Amazon OpenSearch custom endpoints and gain faster DNS resolutions while saving on additional CNAME costs. Good job on the launch Sachet Alva and team - https://lnkd.in/g_aaUp7S. #aws #opensearch #route53

Amazon Route 53 - Amazon Route 53 is a highly available and scalable Domain Name System (DNS) web service by AWS, acting as a traffic manager for the internet. - It translates domain names into IP addresses, offers routing policies to direct traffic, performs health checks on resources, and operates on a global network for reliable DNS resolution worldwide. - It simplifies domain registration, DNS management, and traffic routing for websites and applications, ensuring efficient access to resources on the internet. - Here is the basic pattern that Amazon Route 53 follows when a user initiates a DNS request. - The DNS resolver checks with your domain in Route 53, gets the IP address, and returns it to the user. #AWS #awscloudcomputing #cloudcomputing #amazonroute53 #datascience

Amazon Route 53 is a scalable and highly available Domain Name System (DNS) web service provided by Amazon Web Services (AWS). It is designed to route end-user requests to endpoints in a globally distributed manner. Here are some key features and concepts associated with Amazon Route 53. ➡Domain Registration: Route 53 allows you to register and manage domain names. You can either transfer existing domain names to Route 53 or register new ones directly. ➡DNS Service: Route 53 is primarily a DNS service, translating human-readable domain names into IP addresses that computers use to identify each other on the internet. ➡Routing Policies: Route 53 provides several routing policies that determine how traffic is distributed to your resources. Some of the common routing policies include:Simple Routing: Maps a domain to a single resource. ➡Weighted Routing: Allows you to route traffic to different resources based on specified weights. ➡Latency-Based Routing: Directs traffic to the server with the lowest latency. ➡Failover Routing: Routes traffic to a backup resource in the event of a failure. ➡Health Checks: Route 53 can monitor the health of your resources by periodically sending requests and checking for a valid response. This feature is used in conjunction with routing policies to ensure that traffic is directed only to healthy resources.

In today’s cloud-centric world, one of the most crucial services often overlooked is the Domain Name System (DNS). A robust DNS service is foundational to ensure that your web applications are scalable, secure, and highly available. One such leading service in this space is Amazon Route 53, part of Amazon Web Services (AWS). I come across this great article on Route53 by Sean Coughlin

Debugging and Troubleshooting with Hardware Performance Counters with m7i/c7i In this talk, we deep dive into Hardware Performance Counters which will be exposed in all Amazon Web Services (AWS) m7i/c7i instances. What are they? Why are they so valuable? How can you utilize them? There will be a brief demo and a couple of examples of companies optimizing their code in ways that just aren’t possible without Hardware Performance Counters. Thank you Daniel Hill!
